HB 5757 Was Introduced on April 30. It would modify the current Safe T Act somewhat. I believe all in Law enforcement would agree it has been a failure.
Attached are the proposed modifications along with the email addresses of the elected officials who support the Act as it is written now. If you do not agree, please contact them.
We have also included directions on how to complete a witness slip if you aren't in favor of the Act as it is written now

Step-by-Step Process
Go to the official site
Visit ilga.gov or my.ilga.gov to access the witness slip system Illinois General Assembly+1.
Log in or register
If you have an account, click Log On and enter your credentials.
If you don’t have an account, click Register and complete the required information ACLU of Illinois.
Find the hearing for HB 5757
On the dashboard, select House or Senate.
Under Committee Hearings, choose Today, Week, or Month.
Click the hearing for HB 5757 to view details ACLU of Illinois+1.
Select “Create Witness Slip”
The location of this icon depends on the hearing type (Legislation only, Subject Matter only, or Subject Matter with Legislation).
Click the icon to open the slip form ACLU of Illinois+1.
Fill out the slip
Identification: Name, address, firm/business (if applicable), title, email, and phone number.
Representation: If representing a group/organization, list it; otherwise, write “self.”
Position:
Proponent – support the bill
Opponent – oppose the bill
No Position on Merits – no stance on the bill’s merits
Testimony: Select Record of Appearance Only and agree to the terms ACLU of Illinois+1.
Submit and confirm
Click Create Slip to submit.
You’ll see a confirmation screen; you can create another slip or finis
