We had a great turnout for our annual Vendor Night last week! Members and vendors had an opportunity to network and learn more about new and exciting products while enjoying a casual meal in a unique space. We also had the honor of hosting our Region 1 Director, Sarah Wilper, Associate Member Director, Kevin Karcher and the incoming ARA President, Brian Richardson. Thank you to all who attended and helped put on such a great event!

MEMBERSHIP ALERT!

It has come to our attention that scammers are utilizing wedding websites/platforms to reach out to rental companies and requesting Zoom meetings to discuss their upcoming events. PLEASE BE ADVISED: DO NOT CLICK ANY LINK FROM ANY ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW. These Zoom links are linked to software/spyware designed to access your sensitive information. The "Zoom" link alerts you that you need to update your software to proceed and requires your approval to download the "update". ARA of CT is advising you to never accept a Zoom link and if absolutely necessary, only send your own outgoing link in these situations. Email and phone communication will typically be the safest.

In addition, we are seeing "phishing" emails that note an invoice needing to be paid, a membership renewal etc. Please always check the sender email to verify prior to clicking any links or paying any invoices. If you are unsure, always go to the business or organizations website (do NOT click within the email) and call the customer service number listed on the website to confirm.
