Celebrating our 40th anniversary means celebrating 40 years of the community that got us here! Without our community partners by our side every step of the way, The Project couldn't provide affirming health care and supportive services that promote well-being.

Today we're celebrating with Sanctuary Studios with Sarah Stevens. The Project knows how important and difficult it can be to cultivate an affirming, healthy relationship with your body, and Sanctuary Studios is making that change in our community.

"I know that everyone who teaches deserves to be paid and I hate that I can't pay what they deserve."

This message hit our inbox last week from a woman who wanted to come class but couldn't afford market rates and it wasn't the first time we'd heard something similar.

People worry that what they offer at the door impacts what our teachers are paid and for her (and you), we have the best news:

That just isn't how we do things here. In fact, our teachers get paid at twice the market rate to teach a class at Sanctuary and do you know why?

This morning, we got an email from someone in the community who spent last night looking over the garden, checking in on the seed paper we planted with the new moon last week.

This was what she found:

Little sprouts breaking ground, a sign of life, a little hope for the intentions we've planted in this place.

And this is what happens every day in this place:

We break ground.
We come alive.
We hold a little hope.

Because we believe in being loud about both the highs and the lows, we've got to tell you:
Summer gets a little lonely around the studio. Some classes pick up (we see you Abigail Webster Yoga & Bodywork) but overall, attendance suffers during these summer months.

Because our Outer Circle members keep the dollars coming in the door, lower attendance doesn't necessarily spell disaster for us, but it does mean that WE MISS YOU! And right now, we're on track to have our lowest month of attendance SINCE WE OPENED, so let this be your sign:
