Come see us at the Putnam Museum on Saturday, 10/24 from 1-4 pm. This is a free event. There will be representatives from many local libraries, archives and societies there.

The Belgian Fest is cancelled due to the rainy weather which soaked Stephen's Park and the Rolle Bolle courts. We will be selling waffles and t-shirts and handing out Old Town Bakery cookies at the Friends Circle from noon until 4pm instead. Please come join us!
There is a good chance the Happy Belgians will be playing there also!

No Waffle Breakfast tomorrow Sept 5th.

We will have waffles at the Fall Belgian Fest

Please join the CBC for this celebration on Sunday, September 20th, from noon to 4:00 p.m.

The festivities are held at Stephens Park located at 7th
Street and 15th Avenue in Moline.

Expect all of the traditional sights, sounds and tastes . . .
Belgian B**r, Belgian Horse Carriage Rides, Belgian Waffles,
Rolle Bolle Tournament, Belgian Village Reubens, Lace Making
Demonstration, The Happy Belgians, Grey Wolf Band, etc.

Herbert Hoover holds a special place in the hearts of Belgians. During World War I, he led the CRB- Commission for Relief in Belgium. Under his leadership, millions of tons of food were shipped to Belgium- saving almost 7 million Belgians from starvation. Americans may remember Hoover as the President in office as we entered the Great Depression, but to Belgium, he is the Great Humanitarian.
