Our facility includes a gymnasium with a basketball court, exercise and Yoga studios, conference rooms, fitness center including free weights, exercise and nautilus equipment, weight room, co-ed dry sauna, women's and men's shower/locker rooms. Fitness, fun and friends! Classes are designed exclusively for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, sneakers and bring a water bottle to each class. Yoga w/Lisa Gallagher, Wednesday 6 pm. $10 / class. Lisa is certified through Driftwood Yoga and has many years of experience. Vinyasa flow is part of Hatha Yoga and uses stretches and core building to work into yoga postures. All levels are welcome and will be accommodated. Yoga with Sherri Spina will be held on Saturdays at 10:00 am. $10/class. Vinyasa Flow Yoga: suitable for ALL levels. Vinyasa flow is an alignment based class where postures are linked together in a flow that combines strength and flexibility while toning the body and clearing the mind. Linking breath with movement, Vinyasa yoga will build confidence and help you stay present and centered. It will awaken your strength, energy, and flexibility. You will leave class feeling refreshed, energized, and with an overall improved sense of well-being. Aerial Yoga is offered in 4 week sessions monthly, you must register in advance by calling the Y. This program is for toddlers age 2 - 3 and their parents, grandparents, or any family member/ care provider to get together to promote socialization, learning skills and constructive free play. Children are encouraged to express themselves while making new friends. Arts and crafts, story time, snacks and gym time are included. Classes are on going throughout the school year and meet on Monday and Wednesday from 10 am - 12 pm. $6.00 per class. Georgiann Jacquays is the teacher. We offer quality full-day and partial-day child care for preschoolers, enabling parents and family members to go to work knowing their children are in safe, stimulating environments. All of our programs are licensed through the NYS Offices of Children and Family Services. Before and After school programs are located at local elementary schools. We focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement, Y after school programs serve kindergartners through children in middle school with a variety of programmatic and activity options to explore and develop their interests and talents. Registration for summer and fall child care programs begins on May 1, annually. Registrations must be submitted to the Y by May 30 for summer and fall. Fall programs begin on the first day of school. Spaces are limited and slots are filled on a first come first served basis.
