Ezekiel Jackson: A Legacy of Compassion

Ezekiel Jackson was a talented young artist who lived with an extraordinary love for his family and an unwavering faith in Jesus. Even during his struggles with addiction, Ezekiel’s heart was steadfast in his desire to ensure that everyone he encountered felt cared for and knew the love of Jesus Christ.

Family was everything to Ezekiel, and he extended this love to those around him, particularly to the homeless and youth who lacked a supportive family structure. Ezekiel would often invite these individuals over for barbecues or a simple meal, making them feel welcome and valued. His generosity knew no bounds; he would take his own comforter sets during the winter seasons and give them out to the unhoused community, demonstrating his deep empathy and kindness.

Music was another profound passion in Ezekiel’s life. He was a writer, producer, poet, singer and phenomenal drummer. He often expressed his love for church and faith through his music, mentioning his church home Victory in Praise Modesto in his lyrics. His beautiful voice and heartfelt compositions were a testament to his creative spirit and devotion to his beliefs.

Tragically, Ezekiel’s life was cut short on September 3, 2021, at the age the age 24, when he was found dead in Cesar Chavez Park located on the west side of Modesto, California. Witnesses reported that he had purchased synthetic Fentanyl, leading to his untimely death.
Despite this heartbreaking end, Ezekiel’s legacy of compassion and outreach continues to inspire the community through Ezekiel’s Dream.

Ezekiel’s Dream, is founded in his memory and is dedicated to providing hope, healing, and transformation to those in need. Ezekiel’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and generosity. His spirit lives on through Ezekiel’s Dream, touching lives and making a difference in the community, just as he always sought to do!

MISSION STATEMENT:

Ezekiel's Dream is dedicated to providing hope, healing, and transformation to those in need. Inspired by Ezekiel Jackson and Jordan Herr, the organization also pays tribute to all of God‘s children who have gone to be with Him. Just as the Jordan River symbolizes purification and renewal in biblical teachings, our organization aims to offer a similar path to transformation for the homeless, veterans, youth, those battling substance abuse disorders, the mentally unwell, and the underserved. Through faith-based support, compassionate care, and community empowerment, we strive to create environments where individuals can rebuild their lives, reclaim their dignity, and pursue a brighter future.
