Eight members of our Modesto City Firefighters Association attended the 10th District PEP Conference in Santa Ana Pueblo to further our education and strengthen our ability to serve our membership. The knowledge and connections gained will help us continue building a stronger, more effective union for all our members.

Strong unions are built through education, involvement, and solidarity.

Local 1289 members showed up to Dying Breed in Oakdale last night to support one of our own, Jeromy Albrecht who drums for his band, King Hippo. Great show Jeromy!

On Tuesday evening Modesto Firefighters were out serving the community at the Ceres Concert in the Park. Our members spent the evening BBQing, connecting with residents, and enjoying a great night of music.

Your Modesto City Firefighters traveled to Los Angeles for the SoCal Hazmat Conference to train on evolving hazards facing the fire service today. Topics included clandestine labs, lithium-ion battery fires, and large scale incident response. Bringing knowledge back home to better serve our community!
