What an incredible weekend celebrating 50 years of Soroptimist making a difference! 🌟

Our members from Soroptimist International of Modesto North (SIMN) were honored to attend the 50th SPR Conference. It was a powerful experience reflecting on five decades of service, impact, and collective action.

A major highlight of the weekend was seeing our very own President, Teri, inducted into the Laurel Society! We are so proud of her leadership and dedication to our mission.

Beyond the sessions and ceremonies, the true heart of the conference was the people. We left with our cups full, having made wonderful new connections and cherished the opportunity to enhance lifelong friendships with fellow Soroptimists.
Here’s to 50 years of doing great things—and to the many more to come! 🥂✨

🌟 Empowering the Next Generation: Meet our 2026 Scholarship Winners! 🌟

Soroptimist International Modesto North is thrilled to celebrate two incredible young women who are leading with heart and breaking barriers in our community. These winners were selected for their profound dedication to uplifting women and girls.

The Courageous Advocate
As President of the Warrior’s Organization for Women’s Empowerment (WOWE), this student transformed her organization into a safe haven for candid discussions on "taboo" topics, including mental health and domestic abuse awareness. Her commitment to creating a space where her peers—particularly those from immigrant and conservative backgrounds—feel safe and seen is truly inspiring. We are honored to support her as she carries this passion for advocacy into medical school to uplift those who have faced adversity.

The Trailblazing Athlete
She redefined the role of women in athletics by championing the growth of her high school's wrestling program, quadrupling the number of participating girls in just two years. Her success as a qualifier for the Sac-Joaquin Masters Championships brought vital recognition to girls' wrestling and advocated for greater future resources. Because of her leadership, the 2026-2027 school year will mark the first time the team has a dedicated female coach—a lasting legacy she helped make a reality.

Congratulations to these future changemakers! We cannot wait to see the impact you continue to have on the world. 🎓✨
