🏡 SOLD — One Year, Three Contracts, A Lot of Prayers… and a God Who Was Never Late. 🙏💜
This listing was a CRAZY story… but looking back, it was also one of the most beautiful reminders of faith, patience, and trusting God’s plan.
We listed this home exactly one year ago today. And 3 days ago… it FINALLY CLOSED! 🎉🔑
When we first listed it, the home was still a “Work in Process.” The sellers were continuing to prepare the property, mostly working on the exterior. The inside was already nice and livable, but there was still work happening.
We were upfront about it. We wanted agents and potential buyers to understand that the property was continuing to improve.
Then… we went into contract.
We hoped to get a little further along before the home inspection, but the inspection happened while construction was still underway.
Lesson learned: Don’t do that! 😂
The inspection report came back with a LONG list of items. To some buyers, it looked overwhelming. In reality, much of it was painting, gutters being removed for painting, and other items associated with the work already underway.
The buyers ultimately cancelled.
And honestly? It took quite a while for everyone to let go of that transaction because both sides were still trying to make it work.
Sometimes, though, you have to let go and let God.
So… back on the market.
We reduced the price a little, hit social media hard, held open houses, continued marketing—and a few months later, we were in contract again.
The buyer was SO excited.
Here we go again! 🙌
Until about 4–5 weeks into escrow, on signing day, we received the call.
The buyer had experienced a medical emergency and was no longer going to be able to purchase the home.
This time, the cancellation process took weeks. There were family members, a Power of Attorney, paperwork and circumstances that none of us could control.
Our sellers were frustrated. Of course they were.
But they were also wonderful Christian people.
So we prayed.
And we prayed again.
And somewhere along the way, we all came to the same realization:
Maybe God wasn't saying “No.”
Maybe He was saying “Not yet.”
We decided it was time to step things up. We had professional photographs taken because we didn't just need to sell this house.
We needed the person God had chosen for this home to SEE it.
A few weeks after those professional photos went live, we received a showing request.
And this one felt different.
The buyer's agent was the buyer's mom—and a Christian family.
There was an immediate sense of peace and trust.
The inspection happened.
This time, the work had been completed. The home was in great shape.
And then…
CONTRACT NUMBER THREE. ❤️
This transaction was different.
It was smooth.
It was on time.
It was peaceful.
It was joyful.
The buyer's Realtor was absolutely wonderful to work with, and the entire family was amazing.
I cannot say enough about the peace that surrounded this transaction from beginning to end.
And then last Friday
WE CLOSED. 🎉🏡🔑
I actually met the buyer while picking up my sign and Metro box this past Saturday.
Oh my gosh.
What an amazing young man and an amazing family.
And standing there, I knew.
This was the family God had chosen for this home all along.
Looking back, I can see that every delay, every disappointment, every cancellation and every frustrating moment was moving us toward the right ending.
It reminded me of something I already know but sometimes need to be reminded of:
God is in charge.
Not us.
Not our plans.
Not our timelines.
Not our clients.
Not the market.
Not even the transactions we work so hard to control.
It is ALL HIS.
My son and I are a team, and we have experienced some challenging transactions lately. But this one?
This one was a true joy.
Thank you, Jesus, for bringing the perfect person and family to this home.
And thank you to my wonderful sellers, who started as clients and became friends. ❤️
Real estate isn't just about houses.
It's about people.
It's about trust.
It's about relationships.
And sometimes it's about standing beside your clients through frustration and uncertainty while continuing to believe that there is a bigger plan.
I am incredibly grateful for clients who continue to trust their choice in representation—even when things don't go according to plan.
One year. Three contracts. A whole lot of prayer. And one perfect ending.
🙏 Let go. Let God. Trust His timing.
Because sometimes the door that keeps closing isn't the wrong house…
it's God making room for the right one. 💜🏡
SOLD! And this time, I truly believe it was HIS timing.
