We are excited to join forces with Center For Workers’ Rights to put on a Workers’ Rights Workshop and *free* Legal Aid Clinic at our office on Sunday, August 30th.

The workshop will take place from 11am-12pm followed by a FREE legal aid clinic from 12pm-3:30pm. There is limited capacity for the clinic, so make sure to reserve a time slot by DM’ing us or emailing us at [email protected]. Free lunch provided. See you there

Congratulations to IBEW 1245 Rick Thompson who was sworn in as a NVLF Delegate at our San Joaquin-Calaveras Chapter meeting week. Rick has been an incredible force in the labor movement, and we are so lucky to continue working alongside him through union and political campaigns. IBEW Local 1245

The North Valley Labor Federation stands in solidarity with unionized journalists defending journalism from AI slop.

Recently, the Modesto Bee and the Merced Sun-Star have each published AI-written news roundups.

We echo the concerns of NewsGuild CWA members who are fighting to protect journalism from AI slop, particularly in how it the technology is “eroding the public’s trust in the news.”

AI tools produce uncanny, unsettling text that a human being would never write. Tell your local newspaper that AI has no place in the news.
