We are excited to add a new painting by Gloria Bartels to our Spirit of Giving 5K collection. Check out our gallery of paintings by Gloria on our website. Our medals and bibs are based on her paintings.
Her Spirit of Giving collection, including medals and bibs will be a part of her open studio this Saturday and Sunday (October 17-18). 11-5pm. www.stanislausaos.com
Her studio is at 526 Myrtle Avenue and is is a part of of the fall Stanislaus Artist Open Studio tour. Now is your chance to see her collection of beautiful paintings. You can’t miss this!

Join us for a Halloween Fun Run 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 31 at East La Loma Park!

This fun, family-friendly event is a fundraiser for the Teens Run Modesto program, helping sponsor a TRM student’s training to run the Modesto Marathon in 2027.

🎃 Pumpkin raffle for those in costume
🍬 Games & prizes for the little ones
🏅 Fun awards & treats for all finishers
🎟️ Raffle tickets available race day

No pre-registration needed! Sign up on race day from 7:30–8:20 a.m. The run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m.

Donate $20 or more when you register to run/walk the 5K.

In honor of The Peace Officer Memorial Run this weekend The Modesto Spirit of Giving 5K is having a flash sale! Sign up either at packet pickup or at the race (October 3rd-4th). You will receive a discount of $5.00 off adult registration fees.
You can also sign up online all day this Saturday and Sunday and receive the discount. The code for this discount is “peace”.

👕 Which Run for the Cheese shirt is your favorite? 🧀

For 50 years, the Riverbank Run for the Cheese has created memories—and unforgettable race shirts!

Race Director Bruce Edwards helped make the shirts a tradition with creative cartoon designs, local printing, and fun movie themes—from Star Wars-inspired mice with lightsabers to Armageddon-style cheese meteorites.

For several years, the race year appeared as a giant Swiss cheese number, making those shirts especially popular with runners whose birthday matched that day of the month!
