On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced one of the darkest days in its history. Terrorists attacked the United States, taking the lives of 2,977 innocent people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard United Flight 93. Thousands of families were forever changed, and countless first responders answered the call without hesitation, many making the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

As we approach the anniversary of 9/11, we pause to remember those we lost, honor the courage and selflessness of the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, and ordinary citizens who became heroes that day, and reflect on the strength and resilience of our nation.

For those of us in the public safety profession, September 11 serves as a lasting reminder of our commitment to protect and serve our communities, no matter the circumstances. It is our responsibility to ensure that the sacrifices made on that day are never forgotten and that future generations understand the significance of this moment in our nation’s history.

Today, we ask everyone to take a moment to remember…..and remember to join us on 9/11/2016 at 114 Dr. Slate Drive Mocksville NC for our 2nd 9/11 Memorial Run/Walk! More details to come! Don’t forget to SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

As President of the Davie County Chapter Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund I’d like to personally thank all of our donors and sponsors, the teams that played today, our umpires, Jason’s Italian Ice, Bradon Finney for DJ’ing and announcing, the town of Mocksville for the field, and all of my volunteers with the fund. We had 5 teams with some players traveling a couple hours to be here to play today. The last few games were shortened due to weather and the last game was called by the umpires due to lightning but all in all everyone had a blast today. As always, there is always room for improvement and suggestions given will be taken into account. I’m happy to report that not only will we be making this a yearly tournament but we also raised over $1000 today! Look out for information coming out within the next few months about the tournament in April of 2025!

Congratulations to our Cabarrus County Fire team, the Underdogs for winning the tournament today!

Good evening. Recently there was a house fire where the occupant was successfully removed from the home. The person was in the hospital and has now been transferred to an outpatient facility to continue their recovery.

Our chapter will be donating a gift card so they can get some vital items. They have lost everything.

If you would like to partner with us to provide some items, please PM Alisha Curtiss.

Our chapter relies on the community to let us know of needs for survivors of these tragic events, so please help us support this community.

Thank you!!
