ON THIS DAY IN 1920,
Dr. Carter Godwin Woodson founded "Associated Publishers." On this same day in 1926, he announced the institution of Negro History Week, which coincided with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. In 1976, the observance was expanded to "National Afro-American History Month," in honor of the nation's bicentennial. Beginning in 1975, U.S. Presidents have paid tribute to the mission of the association and urged all Americans to celebrate Afro-American History Month.

When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: ''UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?'' [Sometimes children enlighten adults.]

Dehydration is a major health risk that is not discussed enough. Oftentimes children are at risk of dehydration during the school day, especially after physical education classes. Find ways to keep your child hydrated. Send bottled water with lunch or money to purchase some from a vending machine. Have them drink water before going to school and when they return home.

Being dehydrated can make you tired, grumpy, prone to weight gain, and more.
