Azalea City Art Quilters

Azalea City Art Quilters We use innovative techniques and materials in our work, which is inspired by our own experiences, imagery, and ideas rather than traditional patterns.

We enjoy doing both individual and group projects. Our first meeting was July 2003. For the first year, we created 9"x12" journal quilts. Each month, we chose a theme. We experimented with different techniques. We quickly decided that our only rule is:
nO rUlEs! Every year, we create individual art quilts along with collaborative projects. Our group is open to all members of the Azalea City Quilters Guild.

Love my art quilt meetings. So inspirational. More houses are being built. We’re still deciding on a title for the project.

The ACAQ will have a denim fashion show at our Azalea City Quilters Guild, Inc. meeting in May. Get busy if you haven’t made anything yet. Marsha Wilson Hodges remembered something denim she made in college.

Marsha is planning a smocking workshop at her home in Lucedale. She provides all material and lunch to make a smocked Easter egg.

Words - is another unMary Gale Woolfordds should be your focus. Any technique. Words or phrases. Max size is 30ā€.

Elaine gave a wonderful program on Zentangle. Mary Gale Woolford shared a collection of tangles from 10 years ago. March meeting: make a fabric tangle 9ā€ square, faced, no binding.
