Lauren's Zoo Special Interest Adoptions

Lauren's Zoo Special Interest Adoptions is a small not-for-profit animal rescue organization that specializes in "special needs" and "death row" dogs.

We do not have a central location or shelter facility. All of our adoptable pets are kept in individual foster homes until adoptive homes can be approved. We have a wonderful success rate with "special needs" animals (deaf, blind, amputee, etc). In the last 15 years, we have placed hundreds of animals all over the nation. The first step in our adoption process is the completion of our adoption app

lication. An auto-response containing our application can be received by e-mailing [email protected] . Once approved, adoptions can generally be finalized within a week. Out-of-state adoptions aren't out-of-the-question to find a suitable home for our "special" babies.

Today is my birthday, and all I want is stuff for the rescue. Here is a link to our Amazon Wish List: http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/1PLJO26EIHFV4. The things we need the most are Nature's Miracle and Citrus II for all the cleaning I do after the dogs, and a couple Dremel grinding stones for the hundreds of nails I need to tend to weekly ;). We are holding an un-Father's Day donation drive to assist with community S/N efforts. For as little as $35 you can prevent a male cat from creating even more unwanted kittens or just $50 to prevent another litter of puppies. We are asked weekly for such assistance. Sometimes we jump right in without begging the public, but our funding for such preventative measures is currently tight. When we find a phenomenal deal on food (particularly the stuff required by many of our toothless seniors), my first instinct is to buy.buy.buy. Unfortunately, funds are tight and stocking up isn't something the rescue can afford today. If you have a few bucks to spare, please consider a donation. Getting good deals like this one frees up funds for TNR (spay/neuter for feral and community cats/dogs) and also allows us to extend a helping hand to community members and their pets when needed. Wanna help save MULTIPLE LIVES for a $35 or $50 donation? We are actively assisting community cats with S/N so we can achieve NO MORE LITTERS entering the shelters. Community cats don't necessarily have owners, but they often have individuals who are feeding them and essentially making them healthier and more prolific. We need to stop the cycles (pun intended) ;)
