It is with deep sorrow that we notify you of the passing of retired MBA member Nicki E. Patterson on Saturday, August 29, 2026. There will be a Memorial Service on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church located at 1260 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36602. Immediately following the service, there will be a Meet & Greet at Penton's Bistro located at 219 Conti Street, Mobile, AL 36602. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

We are proud to announce the recipient of the 2026 Judge Daniel H. Thomas Award in admiralty is Bailey Shofstahl. The award is given to the law student who writes the best paper in the admiralty course offered at the University of Alabama School of Law.
