The Bridge Center, Inc. collaborated with the City of Mobile 2025 Summer YES Program to host an intern. Issac Smith was assigned to our organization. Issac is currently a junior at Alabama A & M University, majoring in music education. Issac is a member of the HBCU Redcross Ambassador, Teacher Quality & Retention Program (TQRP), fellow University band member, National Association for Music & Education (NAFME) member, and Vice President of the Bulldog Beat, a University recruitment group. Issac currently maintains a 3.2 GPA.

It is with great pleasure through our Building Bridges Scholarship Fund, that rewards students for strong academic performance, leadership, and extracurricular involvement; we present Issac with a token of our support and appreciation for all his efforts and accomplishments. We want to wish Issac the very best in all his future endeavors.

Thank you to the City of Mobile for allowing us the opportunity to contribute to molding the next generation of professionals and welcome their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm!

On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, we’ll be at Davidson High School for Opportunities School Day! 🎉 Students can enjoy fun games, prizes, and interactive activities while also gaining valuable knowledge about substance abuse, HIV awareness, and youth mental health. We’re committed to providing resources that empower and support our youth!

✨ PLUS, don’t forget! ✨
Tomorrow also marks the first session of our Youth Prevention & Empowerment Class from 5:00 – 6:30 PM! This reoccurring program will take place every Wednesday, providing a safe and supportive space for youth to learn, grow, and make empowered choices.

This training will equip you with valuable knowledge on topics like Substance Abuse Awareness and Youth Mental Health Promotion.

Once you complete the program, you’ll officially be a Peer Educator, empowering you to:
• Assist with volunteer activities
• Help organize special events
• Share important messages on social media
• Participate in meetings to support your school community
