Coach Jackson brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and championship pedigree to Panther Nation. A proud product of the Mobile County Public School System, he is a graduate of LeFlore High School, where he was the starting point guard on the 2002 State Championship team.

Following high school, Coach Jackson continued his playing career at Jefferson Davis Community College and later at Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. After graduating, he began his coaching journey in 2009 at LeFlore High School as an assistant under Coach Otis Hughley.

His coaching career includes impactful stops at Blount High School (2011–2016), where he helped lead teams to two Final Four appearances, and later as Head Coach (2018–2020). From 2020 to 2024, he served as Head Coach at Vigor High School, guiding his teams to two Final Four appearances and a State Finals Runner-Up finish in 2024. Along the way, he has earned multiple Coach of the Year honors.

Coach Jackson is married to Mrs Tiffany Jackson, and they have four children: Jairus Jr., Aiden, Ariyana and Taylor.

There will be a parent player meeting for returning players and anyone interested in playing on April 27, 2026 in the auditorium at 6:00pm. Come out and meet the new coach.
