Job's questions were never fully answered. He sought understanding, searched for reasons, and longed to know why he was suffering, yet he never received the explanation he desired. Instead, Job came to a deeper realization: "I may not know the next step, but I know the One who does." His confidence shifted from having answers to trusting God's sovereignty. The same is true for us. There are times when God does not reveal the details of His plan, and the path ahead seems uncertain. Yet we can rest in the assurance that God knows our every step. He is guiding, leading, and walking with us even when we cannot see His hand or understand His purpose. Though we may not always realize His presence, He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Our peace is found not in knowing the future, but in knowing the God who holds the future in His hands.

Whenever ministry feels heavy, it is worth remembering that the storms we encounter are rarely meant to capsize us. More often, they are the disruptive tools God uses to reposition us (Jonah 1:4). When we choose His sovereign purpose over our own logic or comfort, He always brings the pieces into alignment.

If you find yourself in a delay or a detour today, do not be discouraged. The Gospel you preach hasn't lost its power, and the grace you so freely give to others is meant for you, too. God's grace for our messy journeys is fully sufficient and never-ending. Keep going—your labor is not in vain.

Have a safe and Happy 4th!

As we celebrate Independence Day, I'm reminded of how grateful we are for the freedoms we've been given and for the men and women who have sacrificed to protect them.

But today also reminds us of an even greater freedom—the freedom that is found in Jesus Christ. Our nation is strongest when our hearts are turned toward God, when our homes are built on His Word, and when we love our neighbors with the same grace we've received.

No matter what challenges you're facing today, don't lose hope. God is still faithful. He is still at work. He is still changing lives, restoring families, and drawing people to Himself. The future is always brighter when we place it in His hands.

As you enjoy time with family and friends today, take a moment to thank God for His blessings and pray for our nation—that we would seek His wisdom, walk in His truth, and be a people who honor Him.

I'd love to invite you and your family to join us tomorrow at Immanuel Baptist Church. Come worship with us, be encouraged by God's Word, and experience the hope that only Christ can give. There's a place for you here, and we'd be honored to welcome you.

Happy Independence Day!

— Pastor Randy
