Plateau Restoration Now in our 23rd year of providing quality service learning, educational tours and resource management in SE Utah.

We are an environmental conservation organization that is dedicated to volunteer service, wildlife habitat and field education programs. We offer Alternative Spring Breaks, Volunteer Vacations, Guided Educational Programs through van tours, hiking and river trips on the Colorado River near Moab.

Below are some photos of Jackson Bottom just before water dropped rapidly this week. Some areas where tamarisk was thinned were scoured near the bank, and partially buried willow branches are already sprouting. Other areas, where the bank is higher saw wonderful germination of grasses, shrubs and wildflowers from our seeding and moist conditions.

This spring we had a terrific crew of Utah Conservation Corps crew leaders working at Jackson Bottom. They opened up corridors in the Tamarisk near the bank of the Colorado River for wildlife habitat and planted a bunch of saltgrass. Several new access points to the river were created and deer are actively using these spots.

We are so lucky to still have him with us. Great guy and Ranger!
