Moab Humane-Society

Moab Humane-Society Our Mission is to promote and provide responsible care for our community’s animals. Visit moabpets.org. for more information.

We are the only animal welfare organization with adoption, sterilization, and educational programs in southeastern Utah. HSMV helps owners to adopt their own animals out to suitable homes and also helps adopt out dogs and cats from the Moab City Animal Shelter as well as spay/neuter opportunities and pet food bank for our community pets.

Blue here, keeping an eye on the animal shelter. I was brought here not long ago and realized there was work to be done. You see, there are some young pups running around and playing all day and I must keep an eye on them. I am a good-looking, two-year-old brindle bully mix. People often comment on my striking blue eyes. I know basic commands and stay quiet once I get used to a place. I am gentle when taking a treat and love wet food. I am ready for my next big assignment: a family of my own. I am told I will be ready after getting a neuter, whatever that is. You can meet me at the Moab Animal Shelter.

***ADOPTED***
Poncho, an adult, male orange tabby. He is extremely friendly, and his face speaks volumes. This guy keeps the shelter staff smiling every time he looks their way. Poncho still loves to hang out in his own space but is curious about the activity of the other shelter cats. He isn't a big talker but with his expressive looks, it's not really needed. Meet Poncho at the Moab Animal Shelter.

***ADOPTED***
It seems to be puppy season at the animal shelter because they just keep arriving. The newest arrival is a five-to-six-month old female Rottweiler mix. Her name is Meadow and she is very gentle with the shelter staff and volunteers. Meadow also gets along with the rest of the puppy pack. She isn't shy and will crawl onto your lap and just snuggle in. She has a great temperament but will need the right owner to care for her and keep her stimulated with play, training and exercise so she grows into the best version of herself.

Duncan is an adult, gray male Scottish Fold feline. He came to the shelter with matted fur. After a much needed shave and grooming, Duncan will soon feel the light morning breeze. Duncan is very social with human visitors but not as much with the other shelter cats. He will fill your home with cheerful meows and stories of his time in the outdoor world. Meet Duncan at the Moab Animal Shelter.

Moki, a young adult female with long black hair. Moki came to the shelter swollen with soon-to-be kittens. Her babies grew into strong, independent kittens and have all found their forever homes. Moki is a very calm soul and it will be exciting to see her personality emerge after being in Mom mode. It's her turn to be doted on the way she has for her little ones. Meet Moki at the Moab Animal Shelter.
