Despite the rain, our Volunteer Appreciation Party is still on for tonight from 6-8pm! We’ll be inside and cozy, with soup, mac and cheese, and hot drinks to share — feel free to bring crafts, games, & a camp chair or a blanket, and we’ll plan on spending a chill night indoors together 🙂 see you later this evening!

So far this year, we've welcomed 430 volunteers to the garden, who have put 1,075 hours into the farm through regular volunteering and service days, W**d N Feeds, and events like our Harvest Festival. We're on track to have more volunteers in 2026 than we did in 2025! We're so thankful to have your support in shaping the garden into a place of learning, laughter, and connection 🌞🪏

We hope to see you at our Volunteer Appreciation Party this Wednesday, October 14th, from 6-8pm! Expect good soup and good company. Announcements (and awards) will be at 6:30pm :)

Harvest Festival was an amazing success thanks to YOU! Check out these photos of the festival, courtesy of Julia 🎃🍂

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at our 8th annual Harvest Festival. Special thanks to Alex Dunn and The Butch Cassidies for filling the garden with lively tunes; Isaiah Flint for donating his time and PA system to our musicians; and Fiesta Mexicana, Quesadilla Mobilla, and El Tapatio for donating ingredients to make this year's nachos & quesadillas so incredible!

We'd also like to thank USU Extension, Grand County Public Library, and Moab Mobile Art Cart for their partnership; MVMC, Wabi Sabi, Moab Arts & Recreation Center, and Desert Sun Ceramics for lending us event supplies; Chanont for making delicious pies; Mike Toninelli for upping the pie walk ante with live accordion music; and all of our generous sponsors, who made this event possible!

Lastly, we're sending out a huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible volunteers, who kept our activities, food station, music, and contests running so smoothly. YGP's final Garden Dinner of the season will be next Saturday, October 10th, at 5pm with guest chef Megan R. Bartley! 🍽 Check out her delicious menu, then make sure to reserve your seats at the link in our bio; spots are limited!

🪻This multi-course, seed-to-table dining experience will celebrate Southern creativity and resilience, highlighting YGP-grown tomatoes, okra, collard greens, eggplants, peaches, herbs, and more. THANK YOU for joining us for our last W**d N Feed of the season 💛 we have loved spending every other Wednesday evening with you all! Thank you for helping us keep our garden beautiful & productive, and for enjoying delicious garden-fresh food among friends, coworkers, and neighbors!

As we wind down towards our quieter winter season, steady generosity keeps YGP's youth and community programs thriving all year long. Starting in 2027, our monthly donors will become Perennial Pals, who receive YGP perks like limited-edition stickers, early event access, and seasonal surprises in gratitude for their support!

How do Perennial Pals support YGP? Well, in just one year...
• $5/month = TWO CareShare boxes donated to local food pantries!
• $10/month = snacks and supplies for a FULL WEEK of summer camp!
• $25/month = ingredients for SIX W**d N Feed volunteer nights!

What a fun, beautiful summer in the garden 🌻💛 thank you to the Moab Museum for chatting with us about Moab's early orchard history last Wednesday at our last Table Talk of the year. Thanks, too, to all of our wonderful W**d N Feed chefs for putting together such amazing dinners for our volunteers! There are just THREE MORE CHANCES to enjoy garden-fresh meals with YGP this year:

Wednesday, September 30th, 6-8pm: Our LAST W**d N Feed of the year! 🥲 Join us for ~1.5 hours of weeding followed by a lovely lemon basil pasta.

Saturday, October 10th, 5-8pm: Our last Garden Dinner of the season with Guest Chef Megan Bartley! 🍽 These are our annual fundraising dinners, with all proceeds supporting our programs. Megan's multi-course menu will combine delicious, gluten-free flavors with a night of education, storytelling, and discovery. Register at the link in our bio, and keep your eyes peeled for a menu preview later this week... it sounds AMAZING. 🍑🍅🌽🍦
