Wow. THANK YOU to everyone who has come out to our W**d N Feeds so far this season, and a special thank you to all of the volunteer chefs who have put together delicious, garden-fresh meals for our community! πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ₯—

Your work is a huge help to our small and mighty Farm Team. Please enjoy this photo dump of appreciation πŸ’š we hope these inspire you to join us at the next one. We have two more W**d N Feeds on the calendar (June 10 & 24) before we take a break in July! 🌞

🚫 Please don't abandon your roosters at YGP! 🚫

This morning we found a rooster in our orchard. While we love our farm animals, we don't have the capacity to take in any more. Roosters are not allowed in Moab city limits, and finding roosters here disrupts our daily operations and risks the safety & health of our hens.

If you'd like a rooster, please help us re-home him as soon as possible!

Summer is coming, and that means it's almost time for summer camp!

πŸ‡πŸŒ»πŸŒπŸŠ Summer camps at YGP offer a little bit of everything... we eat grapes & tomatoes straight from the garden, press & print art with flowers, build & float veggie boats, play Gaga ball, catch bugs, swim in the creek and the pool, and more!

Week 1 starts June 1st. Register now for a summer of fun via the link in our bio 🌞

This week's been a busy one for our amazing Farm Team!

Sarah, Cami, and Maylee started the week bright and early, harvesting spring veggies for the start of our Community Supported Agriculture season. We were able to share a beautiful first box of fresh produce with our CSA members, and we're looking forward to getting more YGProduce out to the community this season! πŸ₯¬πŸ«œ

Then, our Farm Team transplanted hundreds of happy plants into the ground, including a YGP favorite... tomatoes!! πŸ… We can't wait to see them grow in the coming weeks & and harvest them in the coming months.

🌱 We'll be at Arts & Ag tonight (5/8) in Swanny Park from 5-8pm selling the remainder of our happy plant starts, so come say hello!

Have you registered your incoming 7th or 8th grader for our Garden Leaders Summer Camps yet? This is a great opportunity for middle schoolers to start their summer mornings learning garden-based leadership skills!

As a Garden Leader, campers spend two hours on-site each morning, the first with our farmers learning how we garden at YGP and the second learning leadership skills that correlate with our weekly themes. Campers can sign-up for all three weeks or pick and choose based on what looks fun to them. Visit www.youthgardenproject.org/youthcamps to learn more and register!

(Registration for our 1st-6th grade summer camps is still open, too!)

Today, we’re proud to be one of over 300 nonprofits taking part in the very first β€” a statewide day of generosity celebrating the nonprofits that make Utah stronger. This is a historic opportunity to come together and to support the missions that unite and excite you most. We're only $3,000 away from our $15,000 goal to cover construction costs for our new community garden in Old City Park, and we'd love to reach that goal today!

Why does this community garden matter? Well β€” every spring, we dedicate our time in the garden to growing strong and resilient plants for our annual Plant Sale. There are many of you, though, still in need of space to start gardens of your own, and our community garden plots fill quickly each year! It feels more important than ever for us to focus our efforts on expanding community access to sustainable, organic gardening spaces, bolstering local food security in Moab and Spanish Valley. By reaching our $15,000 goal, we can open our new community garden in Old City Park for the 2027 growing season!

Learn more and give today by visiting https://mtyc.co/psyzig. Happy Day!

THANK YOU to everyone who came to and supported our Spring Plant Sale this past Saturday. We wish you the best of luck with your gardens this season, and our door is always open for questions & chats! 🌞

Some special thanks are due to: Dave's Corner Market and Curve Coffee for their coffee donations, Moab's Not So Churchy group for their generous (and delicious!) baking, our board, volunteers, and musicians for their day-of support, Wildland Scapes and Canyon Nursery for their perennials and onion starts, and of course, our sponsors! We also want to thank Navtec and Synergy, who volunteered their time last week to helping us w**d, mulch, and beautify our garden before the busy weekend.

We're so grateful we get to do this with your support every year. Keep in touch as we plan for a summer full of new community gardening opportunities, youth programming, workshops, & more!
