Driven by a legacy fostered through hope. 💜

What an unforgettable evening at this year’s Fostering Hope Gala! Thanks to the generosity of our incredible supporters, we celebrated a record-breaking night of donations, helping create brighter futures for children in foster care.

A special thank-you to Emmanuel Nnah and Kirsten Rappleye for serving as our emcees and helping make the evening so memorable. We also extend our congratulations to SME and Club Paddock on the awards they received in recognition of their continued supportive efforts towards Utah Foster Care.

This year’s theme, Driven by Legacy, held a special meaning as we honored the memory of Cameron Williams, a former prospective board member whose impact continues to inspire us. We are incredibly grateful to the Williams family for sharing the Chevy Nova SS in his honor. During the evening, we were excited to announce the winner of this incredible vehicle, continuing a legacy rooted in generosity, compassion, and hope.

From our exciting opportunity drawing prizes and incredible auction items to the purple carpet, watercolor portraits, and prize pulls, the evening was filled with meaningful moments, fun experiences, and opportunities to make a lasting impact.
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make this record-breaking evening possible. Your generosity is helping us build a lasting legacy of hope for children and families across Utah.

Cameron’s 1970 Chevy Nova SS is helping create opportunities for young people impacted by foster care.

Through Fostering Storytellers, a Utah Foster Care program in partnership with , youth who participated in last year's program returned this summer to level up their media production skills. They interviewed Cameron’s loved ones then helped film, produce, and edit the video capturing Cameron’s legacy and the story behind his beloved Nova.

Funds raised through the Driven by Legacy National Sweepstakes help Utah Foster Care create more opportunities like these for young people impacted by foster care.

In just one morning Supercar and hypercar collector in Utah donated $200,000 for Utah Foster Care in a super car cruise for a cause. But he’s not stopping there- until Friday, every donation made will be tripled!!

A little rain couldn’t stop the Utah Foster Care 5K! 🌧️

A few weeks ago, we came together to run, walk, cheer, and celebrate the incredible people who make a difference in the lives of children in foster care. From fun characters and snacks for the kids to bagels, T-shirts, and lots of smiles, it was such a special morning filled with community and support.

One of the highlights was celebrating the Salt Lake Region’s Foster Parent of the Year award recipient — honoring her dedication, love, and commitment to foster care who show up for kids and families every day.

Grateful for everyone who braved the rain, laced up their shoes, and helped make the day so meaningful. Every step matters. Every child matters. 💜

For Cameron Williams, his 1970 Chevy Nova SS was something he truly loved. It was a reflection of his personality, his passion, and his spirit.

Cameron’s mom, Brenda, reflected:

“Having a car this cool sit idle and knowing that Cameron was the kind of person who never sat idle standing around waiting for something to happen—here’s an opportunity to rev up an engine that really represents his spirit and make it a part of something that he was going to be a part of anyway.”

Meet Cameron Williams

Cameron was a respected leader in Utah’s technology and business community, known not only for his professional success, but for his commitment to service and making a difference in the lives of others.

Cameron had a heart for children and families and a personal understanding of the importance of family. He was preparing to join Utah Foster Care’s Board of Directors when his life was unexpectedly cut short in 2021.

Though his time with Utah Foster Care was brief, his desire to serve left a lasting impression.

And then there was his Nova SS.

Cameron’s gold Chevy Nova SS was something he loved—a car that reflected his personality and passion! After his passing, his parents, Brenda and Phillip, continued to support Utah Foster Care.

This year, they made an extraordinary decision: to give Cameron’s beloved Nova SS a new purpose.

Rather than simply being something that belonged to Cameron, the Nova SS can now help carry his legacy forward.

Because sometimes, the things we leave behind can become a way to make a difference for others.

And tomorrow, we’ll share what’s next for Cameron’s Nova SS.

We are so grateful to Mission Health Services and the mission fund for an incredible Back-to-School Blast Off for 40 children in care.

The afternoon was full of fun, laughter, and plenty of excitement as children chose new school clothes and supplies for the year ahead. Mission Health Services created a truly special experience for these children and their families, providing not only what they needed for school but a day they could simply enjoy.

Thank you to everyone at Mission Health Services, Meadow Peak Assisted Living & Memory Care, and True North Home Health & Hospice for opening your doors and making this such a wonderful celebration. We are so grateful for your generosity and partnership!
