Unfortunately, the Earth Day accuracy competition and BBQ had to be canceled this year due to unrelenting wind, but that didn’t stop the cleanup from going ahead!

A huge thank you to the 18 people who still showed up and put in the work. Together we covered Kane Creek Canyon road and several popular exit areas, picking up all sorts of trash along the way. In total, 17 bags of trash were collected, along with some bigger items we weren’t exactly expecting to find out there, a mattress (still to be fully recovered... stand by...), a TV, and a chair.

These kinds of efforts really add up. Not only does having more people out there mean we can cover more ground and remove more waste, but the BLM also tracks volunteer turnout. Those numbers directly translate into funding and support for the field office.

So even a few hours of your time at events like this goes a long way, not just toward keeping the canyon cleaner, but toward supporting the long-term stewardship of the places we all recreate in.

Huge appreciation to everyone who came out and helped make it happen.

Earth Day with Moab BASE Access 🌍

This Wednesday, April 22nd, we’re still getting after it… but with a slight change of plans.

Due to forecasted winds (40 mph), we’re canceling the accuracy jump and BBQ. Not exactly the conditions for standing around or hitting targets.

BUT—we are absolutely still running the Kane Creek cleanup, we will meet at the Tombstone/Captain Ahab parking lot.

Let’s show up for the place that gives us so much.

What’s happening:
– Kane Creek Cleanup, meet at the Tombstone/Captain Ahab parking lot at 10am
– $100 cash, donated by Tandem BASE Moab, for whoever collects the most trash from an exit before the event
– Chance to win a discounted Loki Mountain Designs f***y pack
– A meal in us at Spoke on Center for anyone who joins the cleanup (since the BBQ is off, we’ve got you covered)

Trash comp rules:
Get out to your favorite exit before Wednesday, pack it out, and bring it to weigh/verify. Winner takes $100.

Let’s take care of our backyard. See you out there.

Earth Day hits different when you’ve stood on the edge in Moab.

These exit points mean everything to us—and keeping them open takes all of us. Our tees help fund the work that protects access and preserves this place we call home.

If Moab has given you something, this is a way to give back.

Grab a shirt. Keep the exits open.

Printed on Bella + Canvas 3001. This t-shirt feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all. • 100% combed and ring-spun cotton (Heather colors contain polyester) • Fabric weight: 4.2 oz./yd.² (142 g/m²) • Pre-shrunk

🌎 We’re celebrating Earth Day the Moab way.

On April 22nd, we’re teaming up with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to give back to the landscapes that make BASE jumping here possible. We’ll be hosting a Kane Creek area cleanup (BLM will provide bags and grabbers), followed by a group jump from G-**ot and a fun accuracy landing competition with prizes.

To keep the stewardship spirit strong, we’ll also have a special prize for whoever brings in the most trash.

We’ll wrap up the day with a community BBQ at the G-**ot parking area. This event is open to everyone—not just jumpers—so if you’re a local, visitor, supporter, or just want to help take care of this incredible place, come join us.

♻️ Let’s take care of the places that take care of us.

Huge thanks to Cactus Jacks Moab for leading this year’s fundraiser and donating to Grand County Sheriff's Search and Rescue 🙌

This was truly Cactus Jack’s effort—from organizing to executing—and we want to be very clear about that. MBA was proud to support alongside the broader BASE community, but the heavy lifting was theirs, and they crushed it.

This fundraiser originally grew out of Turkey Boogie. When that event ended, the fundraiser did too — and Cactus Jack’s stepped up to organize and carry it forward for Search & Rescue.

Search & Rescue plays a critical role for everyone who recreates here, and we’re grateful to see local businesses investing directly back into that mission.

Thank you Cactus Jack’s, Grand Search and Rescue for everything you do—and thank you to the community that continues to show up ❤️

On behalf of the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, we are extremely appreciative of the generous donation by @ cactusjacksmoab and @ moabbaseassociation. This check goes towards our amazing search and rescue team to help offset our general budget.

P.S. Cactus Jacks 🌵 is one of our favorite places to eat 😋

Seasonal Recreation Closure in Effect for Parriott Mesa from January 1st to August 31st due to sensitive Raptor Nesting

This closure is for all recreation groups, including BASE jumping. It is being implemented and monitored by the BLM. We are actively in communication with BLM and are advocating for the BASE/recreation community to shorten or lift the closure.

If everyone could please abide by the new closure by not jumping Parriott Mesa from January 1st to August 31s, it would reflect well on BASE jumpers and assist our efforts.
