Kiwanis Club of Mitchell SD The Kiwanis Club of Mitchell, South Dakota is actively committed to making an impact on the lives of children.

We've been serving the Mitchell community and beyond since 1921. 💙

Join us Wednesdays at Blarney's from 12 to 1 Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Mitchell, South Dakota has an active membership committed to making an impact in our community and serving our organizational mission. We meet on W

ednesdays from noon to 1 at Blarney's. The first Wednesday of the month is our business meeting which is a great opportunity to learn more about what we do and why we do it. Annual Events include:
Kiwanis Youth Baseball Tourney
Palace City Kiwanis Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
Mitchell Kiwanis Supermarket Sweep

Some of our regular service projects include:
Kristi Arnold Memorial Inclusive Playground at Kiwanis Woodlot Park
Providing books for little libraries around the city
Supplying Tie Blankets to Department of Public Safety for emergencies

We take a "hands-on" approach to service which means we show up to support other local organizations and events in any way we can. For example:

Volunteering at Caring Closet and Breaking Bread Ministries
Making balloon animals at Heart & Sole Cancer Walk
Collaborating with Big Friend Little Friend on group activities

Aktion Club members were inspired this week by a visit from Lisa Larson, founder of Rooted 23🌱

Lisa shared her mission of raising awareness about mental health and offering hope, encouragement, and support to those who may be struggling.

After hearing her story, the group got to work creating uplifting cards and assembling "Blessing Bags" filled with thoughtful items and positive messages. Lisa will distribute these gifts to individuals who could use a little extra kindness and encouragement.

What a great reminder that even small acts of compassion can make a big difference in someone's day. 💙✨

Who's ready for some baseball?! âš¾

The Kiwanis Youth Baseball Tourney 2026 is happening on Saturday, June 6th at Cadwell Park.

Come cheer on the kids and enjoy America's favorite pastime!

All proceeds from the $10 gate fee go toward helping kids in our community and beyond.
