🔨𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲?

Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Mitchell Tech, students are gaining hands-on experience while helping us build two townhomes for local families.

But there's still plenty to do, and we'd love a few more helping hands!

𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 are a chance for our community to jump in, learn something new, and help turn these houses into homes.

No construction experience? No problem! Just bring yourself and a willingness to help.

From building affordable homes to opening our ReStore, we're creating more opportunities right here in Davison and Hanson Counties.

𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.

For the first time in Mitchell Regional Habitat's history, both of our new townhomes will have attached garages!

If you've ever wrestled car seats, groceries, and little ones through a South Dakota winter, you know this is a big deal.

Our Board of Directors felt strongly that this should be part of our next chapter. Because affordable homeownership shouldn't mean families have to go without the things that make everyday life safer and easier.

For the two families who will call these townhomes their own, it means fewer freezing mornings, one less daily struggle, and more time focused on what really matters.

𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬.

We're proud to be raising the standard of affordable homeownership right here in Mitchell. Not because we have to, but because the families we're building alongside deserve it. 💙

As donations start coming into our new ReStore, we're finding that not everything can make it onto our sales floor. But that doesn't mean it has to go to waste!

Thanks to 𝐇&𝐑 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐠𝐞, we're able to turn unusable materials into funds that go right back into supporting our local Habitat mission. 💙

Our twin townhomes on First Avenue are making some exciting progress!

Thanks to our partnership with Mitchell Tech, students have been busy wrapping the homes, working on HVAC, and getting ready to tackle windows and doors next!

Casey and Allen from Nespor Fence have been hard at work, and WOW, did they deliver!

Our new processing area is officially fenced in, giving us the space we need to sort through donations and get the good stuff ready for our sales floor.

It takes a lot more than shelves and merchandise to open a ReStore, and these guys just helped us check off a BIG one! ✔️

A HUGE thank you to the Mitchell Area Charitable Foundation (MACF) for investing in our new Habitat ReStore!

As a nonprofit, support like this makes a real difference. It's not just about purchasing shelves or getting a store ready to open. It's about building the foundation to keep our doors open, our lights on, and this resource available for years to come.

🛒 And this ReStore is for EVERYONE! Affordable furniture, home improvement supplies, hidden treasures, and a chance to give donated items a second life, all while helping fund affordable homeownership in Davison and Hanson Counties.

We're anticipating opening in the next couple of weeks, once our remaining deliveries and installations are complete!
