𝐑𝐞𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞!

We are incredibly excited by how many people have already reached out wanting to donate to the new Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity ReStore! 💙

At this time, we are NOT accepting donations just yet.

Our team is currently preparing for our Moving Day Party on September 12 & 13, when we’ll be moving our existing inventory and supplies into the new ReStore and getting everything organized.

♻️ Once we are set up and ready, we will announce when donation intake officially opens.

We’ve included our donation guidelines so you can get an idea of what we will and will not accept once intake begins. Donations must be clean, safe, complete, functional, and in resellable condition. Items may be declined based on condition, safety, available space, or ReStore policy.

This one feels pretty special.

After months of prayers, planning, paperwork, and a lot of moving pieces, Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity ReStore ®️ officially has a home!

Today we signed the lease for our new space at 1006 N. Commerce Street, Suite #4, and we couldn’t be more excited about what comes next.

The ReStore is more than a place to shop or donate. It’s another way to make housing more affordable, keep usable materials in our community, and create sustainable funding that helps Habitat continue building and repairing homes right here in Davison & Hanson Counties.

We’re incredibly grateful to the REED Fund for helping us take this big step forward.

There’s still plenty of work to do before we open those doors — but today, we’re celebrating. 🩵

A new ReStore. A new housing resource. And another way to build a stronger community together.

It’s shelter from the rain. A little shade from the summer sun. A place where birthdays will be celebrated, dinners will be shared, and ordinary days will turn into memories.

And today, 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻. ✨

The shingles are officially complete on our future townhomes, and we are so grateful to Elite Renovations for helping us reach this milestone.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but every board, every nail and every set of helping hands brings us closer to the part that matters most:

𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧’𝗦 𝗔 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 & 𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥. 🔨🏠

This is what happens when a community comes together. 💙

As part of the United Way Day of Caring, volunteers from Muth Electric rolled up their sleeves (in some serious August heat 🥵) to replace these old metal steps with a brand-new, sturdy set of wooden steps and railings.

And this one truly took a team. 🙌

❤️ Mitchell Area United Way helped make the project possible through Day of Caring.
🔨 Muth Electric Inc brought the volunteer power to get it built.
🪵 Mueller Lumber Company helped us get the lumber and materials where they needed to be.
🏠 And dedication and volunteers from Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity who brought everyone together around one goal: making a neighbor’s home safer.

That’s collaboration. That’s community. And that’s what can happen when local organizations and businesses each bring a little something to the table. 💙

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧. 𝗔. 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗪.🔨

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds us just how much can get done when people are willing to show up for each other.

And the crew from Muth Electric Inc SHOWED UP 💪🏽

They spent their Mitchell Area United Way Day of Caring with us building two new sets of steps for a local homeowner — giving them safer ways to get in and out of their home. 🏠

And y’all… it was HOT. 🥵 There was a whole lot of sweat, a whole lot of water and Gatorade, and probably a few moments of questioning our life choices. But they kept going. 🔨

By the end of the day, we had new steps, a safer home, and one very tired crew.

Thank you, Muth Electric. Seriously. This is what community looks like — people giving a little bit of their time to make life a little better for a neighbor.

We’re pretty lucky to live in a community that shows up. 💛
