Thanks to the hard work of this team of volunteers (and a couple who escaped the photo), all of our dresses, shoes, accessories and racks were successfully relocated in exactly one hour this afternoon! Thank you to the Lanning, Mellegaard and Royston families for enduring the heat to ensure that the ball will go on in 2027!

Thanks to a couple of generous fairy godmothers, we have raised enough money to initiate our storage lease just in time to meet our moving deadline, but we need some help loading and unloading our chariot to make it happen before the clock strikes midnight on Sunday!

Here's how you can help!
👠Register at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0549ABA62DA3FC1-64314318-glass if you can help us load totes, racks, etc. from RiverTree Church, then unload them at our new storage unit. We will get started at 4pm and hope to be done within two hours.
👠 Message us if you have a clean, empty enclosed trailer located in Mitchell that we can use or you'd be willing to pull for us on Sunday afternoon.
👠 We have reached 25% of our goal of raising $1,200 to fund our first year of storage. Message us if you'd like to help us cover the rest of the year, whether with a one-time or ongoing tax-deductible contribution.

Over the last 15 years, we have helped an estimated 1,500 girls find their right-fit dresses for prom, but tonight we are asking 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 help in finding 𝙪𝙨 just the right fit!

Earlier this month, we learned that we will lose our year-round storage and need to find a new home for our dresses, racks and totes of accessories by June 1. We have found a solution that will keep them clean and secure, but we need your help to make it happen and continue our mission!

We have never before done a fundraiser, because we have been fortunate to run our nonprofit with very little overhead. Any donations we have received have directly benefited each year’s event, funded our modest marketing budget, purchased dresses to fill the gaps for certain sizes, supplemented refreshments/prizes, and paid a small rental fee for our event.

The Glass Slipper saves area girls an estimated $50,000 annually, so, while facing an estimated $1,200-per-year expense so spur-of-the-moment is taxing, we know that the 100-ish Cinderellas we serve each year are counting on us to keep this project going!

We spy some familiar beauties looking for their perfect princess!

Every year, we have to make the difficult decision to pare down our collection in order to fit our leftover gowns into storage. This year, we chose to donate the dresses we couldn't keep to ROCS Community Closet - Mitchell, a division of the Rural Office of Community Services. Located at 2nd & Lawler, the ROCS Community Closet - Mitchell is a non-profit thrift store offering a wide variety of merchandise -- including prom dresses -- at low prices. The thrift store operates solely with volunteer workers and donations, ensuring everything they do makes a positive impact on the local community.

Packing away the last of the dresses each year is never as exciting as getting them out and dreaming with our Cinderellas, but the Dakota Wesleyan University Tiger Volleyball team makes clean-up both easy and FUN! Thank you, ladies, for bringing the energy and the muscle!! 💙🏐👊

Thank you to ALL of our volunteers for making Year 15 a memorable one! We are astounded every year when we think of how many people's time, talent and treasures come together to bring this fairytale to life! 💃

Thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, shoppers, parents and RiverTree Church for making the 15th Annual Glass Slipper a success! The weather and illness tried to stop our mission, but we are so happy to announce that 85 out of 93 area girls who shopped with us will be Cinderellas in time for the ball this year thanks to YOU!
