Although the fishing was tough today, We had an incredible day out on the water at the annual Indiana Bass Federation Youth South Captains Tournament, and our anglers absolutely crushed it against some tough competition!

CAPTAINS and ANGLERS TOURNAMENT this Saturday at Patoka lake

We will be going out of PAINTER CREEK RAMP FOR THIS EVENT

This is not a sanctioned event just a fun get together to give the captains a chance to fish with 1 or both of their anglers.

Need everyone to meet on the ramp by 7:15 so we can decide entry, side pots and anything else everyone wants to throw in for the day. Just an example but past events has been 30 per team with side pot for largest smallmouth, big bass, largest non bass species etc…. With 100% payback. We can do whatever everyone agrees to.
We will have some giveaways and prizes along with pizza and drinks at the weigh in.
Hope to see a lot of you there as this will be our last event until spring

The Mitchell Bass Team brought the energy to this year's Persimmon Festival Parade! 🎣🚌 It was an incredible day celebrating our amazing community, seeing all the smiling faces along the route, and showing our Mitchell pride. We also have to give a huge shoutout to team member Marissa Blais! In true dedicated fashion, Queen Marissa literally backtracked to track down the group and joined the team mid-parade to make sure she didn't miss out on the fun. Talk about commitment! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and cheer us on. We love our town and our team! Come on out next Sat. Oct. 3rd Patoka Lake, US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District for our annual captains tournament. Big shout out to captain for towing his rig during the parade.

BIG DAY ON the Ohio River at Rocky Point! 40 plus teams.
The Mitchell Jr/Sr High School Bass Team competed against 43 teams from across Indiana in the Indiana Bass Federation Youth South Trail!
Our anglers absolutely crushed it. Here are the highlights:
Junior High Division
2nd Place: Rookies Braxton Cogwell and Parker Kern weighed in 3 keepers at 4.03 lbs in their very first tournament! Shoutout to boat captain Zack Kern
High School Division
2nd place Jett and Wyatt Blais (Captain Matt Blais) locked in a 5 fish limit for 7.41 for 2nd place.
10th Place Micah Potter Solo with 2.22 boat Captain Brian Woolston.
12th Place Kate Conner and Kaden Mikels one for 1.91 (Captain Kevin Conner)
15th Place Tajay Alexander and Ryliegh Torres brought in 1.57 for 15th place. (Captain Don Goldsberry).
17th Place Jeredon Sowder Solo with 1.43, boat Captain Brian Woolston.

🎣 CASTING CALL FOR BOAT CAPTAINS! 🎣The Mitchell Bluejackets Bass Team needs your help! We are looking for 3 substitute boat captains for our upcoming tournament. Here are the details: Date: Saturday, August 22nd Location: Rocky Point Requirement: Boat 16" or longer with working livewell and safety gear. Mission: Support our student anglers and get them on the water! Our high school anglers have been working hard all season. They just need a few more generous captains to help them compete. If you love fishing, mentoring youth, and spending a day on the water, this is for you! Interested or have questions? Please drop a comment below or send us a direct message ASAP to lock in your spot. Let's get these kids fishing! 🔵🟡🐟 Note: This is the day before the IBF trail event at Rocky Point, so we should have plenty of IBF boaters willing to step up.
