What can we say except thank you to this group of boys tonight. Rex and I have resigned from scouting and this group knowing we were a little overwhelmed with all work to be done after the storm took our huge Blue Spruce down and other minor damage last fall. They moved a small dump truck of dirt, cut out broken hedge, moved large tree pieces cut from the spruce, loaded 2 trailers of debri, moved new blocks to where we are building a bird feeding- watching station and other small things. Rex and I bought pizza and thanked the boys while we were eating. Their comments to us- thanks for all we have done for and taught them❤️

Mark Your Calendars Monday: Aerospace Evening is a FREE science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) outreach event open to Scouts of all ages happening Saturday, Oct. 19th from 6 - 9 p.m. at UNO Durham Science Building. Scouts are able to accomplish requirements for their Astronomy/Science badges/belt loops.

Hello Troop 558

These are all of the dates I have at this time. There will be more detail to come on the events as we get closer to the dates.

Scouts will meet on Monday nights 7:00 p.m. at the Rand Center in Missouri Valley. If the meeting time or location changes, notification will be sent out in email, text, Facebook, and talked about in circle-up at the end of the meetings.

I want to encourage at least one parent or adult guardian of each scout to come join us at the circle, (not the back tables or your car),as there is always important information given out during circle-up.

The troop committee will meet the first Sunday of every month 1:00 p.m. Community of Christ Church.

PLC will meet the second Sunday of every month 1:30 p.m. Community of Christ Church.

The troop camp outs will be the third weekend (weekend following PLC meeting).

Monday September 21 troop election

Friday night September 25, popcorn can be picked up from 5-6:30 p.m. at BCS no selling until Saturday!!!!!!!

Saturday September 26 popcorn blitz day BCS warehouse 8:00 a.m. turn in for the day 4:00 p.m. same location

December 12th help with the Christmas store then pizza and a movie, there will be no camp out in December.

Spaghetti feed date Saturday March 19th.

Camping dates, Oct. 16-18, Nov. 20-22, Jan. 22-24, Feb 27-28 lock-in, March 18-20, April 22-24, May 20-22. These are all of the tentative camping dates locations are yet to be determined.

Troop, we have been asked to help the pack Sunday August 30th with scouting in the park. Please be at the Mo Valley city park by 1:00p.m. to help setup the monkey bridge and rope making equipment.

Troop I would like to invite and or remind all of the scouts and their family to attend Keith's Eagle Court of Honor Sunday May 31st at the Church of Christ in Mondamin.

We would like to have all of the scouts at the church by 12:15 for lunch and program practice. Families are welcome to come for lunch with the scouts. The program will start at 2:00p.m. with a reception to follow. Scouts will need their full class A, there is a changing room at the church if needed.

Please let us know if you will be there so we can finish program planning, and please let us know the number of people coming for lunch so we have enough food.

We are pleased and proud to announce that Keith has successfully completed his Eagle Scout board of review and is now officially an Eagle Scout. Thank you to everyone that helped him along the way. We are looking May 31st for his Court of Honor, more details to come. Again THANK YOU to everyone that donated time, resources, and money to his project and scouting career, this would not have been possible without all of you THANK YOU
