✊🏾📚 SIGMA BETA CLUB — BLACK HISTORY MONTH📚✊🏾

Sigma Betas,

Black History Month — a time to celebrate, learn, and honor the legacy of Black leaders who changed the world through courage, brilliance, and service.

One of those leaders was Brother John Lewis, Civil Rights icon and U.S. Congressman. As a young man, he stood on the front lines of the movement for justice — including marching for freedom in Selma — and later continued that fight in Congress.

His life teaches us:

🗣️ Stand for what’s right — even when it’s hard.
🛡️ Speak up — even when your voice shakes.
🏛️ Lead with courage — even when others won’t.

Brother John Lewis challenged the world to make “Good Trouble” — the kind of trouble that confronts injustice, defends others, and pushes progress forward.

Sigma Betas, this month I challenge YOU to make Good Trouble too:

✅ Be a leader at school and in your community
✅ Stand up for what is right
✅ Respect yourself and others
✅ Stay focused on your goals
✅ Serve with purpose and pride

📢 Remember this: You are not just learning Black history — you are becoming part of it.
You are the next generation of leaders Accepting the Responsibility and Loving the Challenge.

Let’s have a powerful Black History Month filled with pride, learning, and excellence!
