At HUGGS Inc., our volunteers work behind the scenes to help families impacted by fires and disasters transition from empty spaces back into stable homes with dignity, comfort, and hope.

In partnership with the American Red Cross, Houston Furniture Bank, faith-based organizations, and community partners, we continue serving households across Harris, Fort Bend, and Brazoria Counties through referral-based disaster recovery support.

This work is bigger than furniture.
It’s stability.
It’s recovery.
It’s a fresh start.

Honored to continue serving alongside regional partners through the Texas Gulf Coast Regional VOAD Fire Team as we strengthen coordination efforts around multi-family fire (MFF) recovery, household stabilization, and unmet needs support across the region.

At HUGGS Inc., we see firsthand that recovery does not end when emergency response concludes. Families displaced by apartment fires and other disasters often face the difficult process of rebuilding a functional household after immediate shelter assistance ends.

Through collaboration with partners across the VOAD network, case managers, and organizations such as the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast, we remain committed to supporting the “last mile of recovery” by helping families move from crisis toward stabilization.

Grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many dedicated organizations, planners, facilitators, and operators focused on strengthening disaster recovery systems throughout the Texas Gulf Coast region.

Another MFF Household Stabilized!

HUGGS Inc. recently supported a family impacted by a multi-family fire in our area through coordination with the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast and The Furniture Bank. Special thank you to Sage Investment Group, LLC for your contribution.
From referral → fulfillment → full setup, this household is now stable and back in a livable space.
