Brentwood Baptist Church recognized National Cancer Survivors Month with a special observance celebrating the strength, resilience, and courage of individuals living with a history of cancer, and SurviveHER was proud to be part of the experience. The special recognition highlighted the strength, resilience, and courage of survivors while bringing attention to the ongoing physical, emotional, and financial challenges many continue to navigate.

As part of the observance, Brentwood Baptist Church invited attendees to visit the SurviveHER resource table following the service, where community members connected with our team and received breast health information, educational materials, and supportive resources.

SurviveHER was honored to participate in the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Cancer Survivors Day Celebration & Resource Fair, themed “One Team. One Goal. Kick Cancer.” The event brought together more than 250 cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations for a day of celebration, connection, and support.

As a resource fair participant, SurviveHER engaged attendees with breast health education, survivorship resources, and information about programs designed to support women throughout their breast health journeys. Survivors and caregivers also heard inspiring survivor panel discussions and opportunities to connect with organizations dedicated to improving cancer care and quality of life.

Join us Saturday, June 13th from 9AM–12PM for the Settegast Health & Wellness Fair at the Settegast Health Center; a morning dedicated to wellness, education, access, and care for our community.

✨ Free screenings include:
• Blood Pressure
• Glucose
• Mammograms
• HPV
• HIV

We’ll also have pediatric immunizations, women’s health resources, financial assistance support, food distribution, games, giveaways, and more.

Appointments are required for mammograms, HPV screenings, and financial assistance interviews, so be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot.
