Fall Gathering attendees ➡️ Here's what to expect on Saturday night.

1️⃣ Music you can move your feet to from and 🎻
2️⃣ Delicious pork or vegetarian tacos from .mt, salad from , and bread from 🌮
3️⃣ A history tour of the Homestead at 5:15PM and family-friendly apple c***r pressing 🍎
4️⃣ A beautiful walk up the hill to the Homestead or a shuttle for those who prefer to ride

Parking at the Homestead is limited. We encourage folks to walk or bike if possible. If driving, please follow signage and parallel park on the south side of the Spurlock Road below where the road forks. You'll then walk along the gravel road (1/4 to 1 mile—depending on how early you arrive) or you can take the shuttle van, which runs from 5pm until dark. Elders, pregnant folks, and those with disabilities, may continue to a grass parking area about 100 yards from the main event. Please call or email the Homestead if you have questions about accessibility.

Oh! And don't forget to bring an extra layer to stay warm while catching that full moon rise! 🌕

Have you snagged your 🎟 ticket 🎟 for the Fall Gathering? It's a family-friendly homestead celebration that only happens once a year, Sept. 26.

And did you know that all ticket sales directly support the Moon-Randolph Homestead's annual operating budget? In fact, every raffle ticket, beverage, or merch item you buy makes the year-round activities and upkeep of the Homestead possible.

This year's raffle includes fantastic prizes donated by local businesses: , , , , , and . You can buy raffle tickets online now or at the event. You could even win a Homestead-raised ham!

It's been a big grasshopper year at the Homestead, so it's appropriate that this year's event art — wood-cut and designed by local artist Ally Mabry — features a grasshopper and a rising full moon. We loved the art so much we made shirts, hoodies, and hats to commemorate this year's event. There's a limited quantity and will only be available for purchase in person at the event. And you guessed it, all sales support the Homestead.

Music is a big part of what brings people together at the Fall Gathering, a community celebration and festival of the harvest.
This year, Cash for Junkers will liven up the homemade trailer stage with authentic covers and originals inspired by early h***y tonk and Western swing. Cash for Junkers is a local band that's been around since 1998, gracing northwestern audiences with their boot-stompin' sounds. We're excited to bring this band to the Homestead for the first time!
Opening up the stage at the Fall Gathering is Barbara Sim, a country, folk, Americana singer/songwriter based out of Missoula, MT. She is a Marine Corps veteran, and has been playing solo acoustic shows all across the US for over 10 years, with the last four years spent traveling full-time in her self converted camper van. Her warm vocals and authentic presence are grounded in lived experience, intentional connection, nature, and faith. Her debut album “Sacred and Wild” releases November 6th!
Tickets include a harvest meal alongside local music, a historic tour of our site, c***r pressing for the kids, and a rare evening spent among the orchard, bunchgrass, under a full moon with friends, family, and neighbors.

Our perennial event, The Fall Gathering, is sneaking up fast (Sept 26!), and we need a few more volunteers to ensure it goes off without a hitch.

Volunteers get free entry into the event, which includes live music, delicious farm fresh food, a festive time with your community, and a historical tour of the homestead (for those who want it).

This September 26th, the night of a FULL MOON, join us for a harvest celebration and fundraiser at the Moon-Randolph Homestead. We'll have bonfires, a farm-fresh meal, c***r and b**r, and local bands that will make you glad you brushed-off your dancing boots. This event is family friendly—and this year, it takes place on National Public Lands Day. Join us in exercising our collective gratitude for the abundance of the season as we celebrate the harvest together. 🍎🍺🔥🎻🌕🍎

Shout out to the freshman who participated in this year's Big Sky Experience. This program immerses students in the Missoula community through a service project with a local organization. About 20 came up to the homestead to help us fix fence. Students from across Montana and the country get to know one another as they begin to sink roots (or in this case, fence posts) into the ground. We were very impressed with the number of students in the homestead group who had worked or grown-up on farms and ranches. Y'all give us hope for the future!

Summer campers often get to take care of the pigs and chickens. But this year, campers make sun tea with herbs picked fresh in the garden. They made jam from currants plucked on site! These are activities that help kids see nature, history, and food in new ways.

It is hard to believe, but summer is flying by and today is the last day of camp! We're grateful to Lilly Basse, who facilitated many of these impactful activities. And we're also grateful to for coordinating camps and serving our community.

Artist Presentation: Sarah McMurry
