Hero Sound Project

Hero Sound Project Healing our Veterans with Music Our goal is to give our Veterans that sense of community and to give them a voice... A Voice of Rhythm and Song.

Through the use of Music, we hope to break down the mental, physical, and social barriers that our wounded Veterans face and to improve their quality of life through self-expression in music. Rebuilding the bonds that many Vets miss after leaving the military is vital. As of today 22 Veterans a day commit su***de. We have lost more of them at home, then in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. We must ch

ange this and show our Veterans they are not alone. Hero Sound Project’s long term goal is to provide solo and group music lessons as well as provide an instrument to our wounded Veterans who complete our program in order to sustain the positive benefits that they will discover through music creation. Veterans, after completing the solo lessons, will have the opportunity to join the group sessions. At this point they will be introduced to song writing, group collaboration, and to establish the community bonds with other Veterans. The goals of the project are:
• To establish Community Bonds
• Elevate Self esteem
• Promote self-expression
• Assist in overcoming social anxiety
• Assist in overcoming any physical limitations the veteran may have in order to create music. (Use of other instruments when needed)
We can not meet these goals with out the support of our Local Community. Lets heal our Vets and give them this gift of Music!

We are working on hosting some Community Jam sessions for this fall/winter.

These Jams will be open to all in the community who would like to come make music, Veterans and Community members alike!

For now these will be acoustic jam sessions. Hand drums are welcome and anything that does not need to be plugged in.

We will create an event listing just as soon as we have the location secured. Hope to see some new faces and some old ones!

If I may have your attention for just a moment, I would like to tell you about a project coming up that is not only near and dear to my heart but it’s a project that will hopefully bring people a little bit closer to understanding what it is our Veterans go through. My Brother Broku Adams is starting a Podcast called Checkpoint 6. Named after the Checkpoint where some of our most intense battles happened while I was in Karbala, Iraq.
Our VA is failing us, promises not being fulfilled and it is costing human lives. These are the Men and Women who were willing to lay down their life to ensure you get to continue to live yours as you have always known it. These Men and Women are being failed and in turn they are taking their own lives in staggering numbers! We have lost more here at home to Su***de than we did in Combat. Please follow this journey, please join us in Sharing it as far and wide as possible. We owe it to those who have paid so much already...

Knowledge is power! Our Veterans should not have to see a Civilian Doctor nor should they have to register with the State to find some relief from their medical issues... Vote Yes on November 3rd!!!

Know the facts!

CI-118 nor I-190 affect the Montana Medical Ma*****na program at all. Like zero, zilch, none, nada.

In Montana, "recreational ma*****na" and "medical ma*****na" are defined as two separate things in law. They are in fact two separate subjects.

By law in Montana, any initiative like I-190 may only address a single subject. It's called the "single subject" rule. It says that since our law is about recreational ma*****na we can't address or affect or legislate another subject like "medical ma*****na" in our initiative. So I-190 by law, only affects the "recreational ma*****na" program.

Prohibitionists, like Steve Zabawa and his new allies (some of whom come from within the medical ma*****na community itself) want to suggest unintended consequences to the Montana medical ma*****na program because of CI-118. Those claims are false or and just plain ignorant of the law.

Here's the real Skinny on how CI-118 and I-190 work together to legalize, regulate and tax recreational ma*****na:

CI-118 gives the legislature or the people by way of the initiative process the ability to set the age of ma*****na consumption at 21. CI-118 doesn't set the age for ma*****na consumption, CI-118 just provides the constitutional authority to set the age to the legislature or the people through the initiative process.

I-190 (an initiative by the people) then comes along and legalizes, regulates, and taxes recreational ma*****na and sets recreational consumption at 21, leaving the medical program completely unchanged.

Those 18-21 will still be able to get medical ma*****na with a Dr recommendation as will all groups because I-190 leaves the medical program untouched. The tax on medical will remain the same because I-190 leaves the medical program untouched. The tax of 20% only applies to recreational ma*****na because, just to reiterate......I-190 and CI-118 leave the Montana Medical Ma*****na program untouched.

Now...talk amongst yourselves, share this post with your friends, and leave any questions below, and we will try to get to them.
