"In 2002, I posted on the ACA message board [Companions Wanted] looking for someone to ride the TransAmerica Trail with. Many emails later, I had a group. One of the guys joining was Scott, who had just been released from jail in Vietnam for illegal camping. That sounded a little shady. Little did I know we'd be married a few years later. Two other members from that group ended up married as well. Love must have been in the air that summer.
We never could shake the bike touring bug, always scheming and planning the next adventure. At some point we realized our jobs and city lives were getting in the way of our true passion. So we gave it all up. Easter 2013, we sold our house and everything we owned and left Houston for Tierra del Fuego. Not so much a tour as a new life. With everything we own on our bicycles, we're traveling via 'The Poor Man's R.V.' We don't know if, when, or where we'll settle down again."

Companions Wanted is a member benefit for finding riding partners on long-distance bike tours. Itβs not a dating service or a space for personal ads. Just cyclists looking for other cyclists to share the road. What happens after that is between you and the open road.
