🎬 Missoula Aging Services is proud to sponsor IN MEMORIAM at the Montana Film Festival at The Roxy Theater. We believe in the power of community cinema to bring people together—and the power of film to illuminate the richness of life at every stage.

Starring Marc Maron alongside Lily Gladstone, Judy Greer, Sharon Stone, and Talia Ryder, IN MEMORIAM follows an actor whose terminal diagnosis sparks an all-consuming quest for a place in the Academy Awards’ memorial montage. What unfolds is a hilarious and heartfelt exploration of ego, connection, and what we hope to leave behind.

Another opportunity to join an empowering workshop on aligned planned giving. Last week, the Missoula Community Foundation joined us for a presentation on smart planned giving with Undivided Wealth and next week you can join for an estate planning workshop to be held at the Confluence Center on Oct. 15 at 5pm. "Creative Ways to Leave a Legacy" is part of the foundation’s Be The Change Education Series and will feature Dr. Marsha Goetting, Montana State University Extension Specialist.

Through MCF folks can donate to MAS's endowment and to many other organizations, taking advantage of tax benefits to make giving go further and increase impact.

Whether you're just starting estate planning or seeking to refine your plans, you’ll walk away with actionable strategies, creative legacy tools, and the confidence to take the next step in shaping our region's future.

There is no charge to attend but kindly register via MCF's website and the Be the Change Events page so organizers can plan for seating and snacks.

A new message from Montana Senior Medicare Patrol, created in collaboration with Arlee Community Development Corporation and local community members. ❤️

Medicare fraud can show up on your Medicare statements, bills, or letters from medical providers as services, tests, or medical equipment you didn’t receive. Taking a few minutes to review these documents—and keeping an eye out for family, friends, and neighbors—can help spot something that doesn’t look right.

Thanks to Arlee CDC and Lawna, Katie, and Shelly for sharing their time and voices to help us spread the word, and to Spectrum for bringing the spot to life.

Watch the new spot at the link in our bio. If something looks fishy, Montana SMP is here as a resource.

Deep thanks to Gary Baker and Kim Massa Rubenstein of Undivided Wealth, who presented on The Giving Portfolio, a thoughtful process they created that helps donors and clients identify what matters most to give with purpose. Estate-planning attorney Martha Goodloe and Missoula Community Foundation's Marcy Allen also contributed to the presentation of tax-smart giving options--thank you!

MAS's development team sponsored the event at Stockman Bank, inviting supporters and members of the public to participate in this meaningful conversation.
