We are so grateful to Larch Outdoor Education for hosting our families and creating such a special opportunity to connect—with nature and with one another. From shared adventures to hands-on learning activities, every moment reflected the incredible community they've cultivated at Camp Paxson.

We are so excited to be participating in Missoula Gives this year! Please consider giving to ZHC to help us build our scholarship fund and to support us in providing more free and low cost field trips, classes, and activities for our families.

We serve many families that didn’t find traditional schooling to be a good fit for their families for varied reasons, and our organization provides support for parents and their children so they can thrive!

Our annual Curriculum Tasting & Homeschool Resource Fair is happening tomorrow, Monday, April 13th at the Library on the 4th floor in Cooper Rooms A & B from 3:00- 4:30. If you or someone you know someone is interested in homeschooling, sharing their curriculum with other families, or wanting to bring items for the free table, please share this. So much gratitude to the Montana Historical Society for guiding our families on an epic tour of our State’s Capital city!

Our students got behind-the-scenes at the Montana State Capitol building, the Original Governor’s Mansion, a special tour of the newly opened Montana Heritage Center, and an introduction to Montana’s favorite artist (Charles M. Russell, iykyk).

Thank you especially to Carly for being an exemplary tour guide- you made wrangling multiple ages and interests within our group look easy!

Our Annual Winter Holiday Party! We enjoyed a Hot cocoa bar☕ • Crafts 🎨 • Games 🎲 • Special treats 🍪We had so much fun celebrating the season with our homeschool families!

Our field trip took us to the Roxy Theater, where we explored the space, learned about theater operations, and then settled in for a show—popcorn included! Moments like these make learning together so special. Big thanks The Roxy Theater for having our group!

Our Wild Craft Club meets monthly and draws inspiration from the Your Wild Books Crafting Series to create hands-on, nature-based crafts that encourage creativity and connection with the natural world.

Our group toured ABC Acres, Montana’s only tropical greenhouse, and explored the plants, climate, and care behind this one-of-a-kind space along with a few tasty treats sprinkled in! Thank you ABC Acres!
