A Quantum Dream Manifesting the Future A Quantum Dream is a theatre company, arts collaborative and education organization. A Quantum Dream is an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

We focus on the transformative power of speculative stories like science fiction, surrealism and the downright weird. We offer live and recorded audio description services for the blind and visually impaired, open captioning, and are working to provide ASL interpreters and live captioning in the future. We also offer trainings in disability etiquette and accessibility audits. Beginning in January 2026, we are also proud to offer holistic acting classes! Regardless of your skill or experience level, we're excited to meet you where you're at and help you explore all that acting has to offer.

We've been keeping quiet about it, but it's time to announce the next show! Alma Baya, a play by Edward Einhorn, is a funny, thrilling, strange reflection on who we are - to ourselves and to each other - and what that might actually mean.

Alma and Baya are living on a hostile planet, in a living pod designed for two. A stranger from a destroyed pod, much like theirs, arrives and seeks refuge. Baya lets her in, but Alma is convinced that there are not enough resources for three, and that at least one of them will die. Slowly, they unpack the mystery of who the stranger is, at the same time as they unpack the history of how they got there.

Alma Baya will run at the Zootown Arts Community Center (Zootown Arts Community Center) from December 10th-13th.

Keep your eyes peeled for audition announcements - coming real soon!

I'm not sure if most folks know, but every time we close we have to tear down our whole set and get it moved out of the space the same night. It's always pretty sad, but you can tell how amazing our closing show was by the big smiles on the cast and crew's faces! Even after doing countless hours of rehearsals and a week of shows, including two shows on this very day, they still were such an incredible team! A quantum Dream is extremely lucky to be able to work over and over again with such incredible people.

The Missoula art community feels both very large and very small at the same time, and every time we get to work with both new friends and old it reminds us just how valuable theatre is to all.

Art is for everyone. Art is essential. Art makes us human.

And now for our fearless leader - Reggie Herbert. Reggie (he/him) is our director and composer/sound designer.

Reggie is a blind artist who obtained his Master of Fine Arts in theatre from the University of Montana in 2021. He founded A Quantum Dream in 2023 with Meg Denny to produce the kind of work that impacts him the most and wanted to share it with the Missoula community. Reggie is a leader in the National Federation of the Blind and has been playing music in various bands in the Missoula area since 2009. Reggie also proudly serves on the board of directors for the ZACC. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with such fine artists, but especially to you for coming and sharing in this beautiful story with us.

Meg Denny is co-producer and technical director of The Aurora Project. She would like you all to know that she is yet again being posted here against her will. Meg wields her design eye and loyal wrench against the demons of an empty stage and hostile light board, all while she champions art and community.

Come see the work of these phenomenal artists! The Aurora Project opens tonight and is running June 25th-28th at the Zootown Arts Community Center! Tickets and more info at the link in our bio.
