The Next Chapter is going to take time. We have had some folks inquiring about the move. We do not have a space yet. Or funds to get there.

We are dreaming about a future home for GAM. A place with more room for arts reuse, workshops, artists, community gatherings, events, accessibility, and all of the possibilities we haven't even thought of yet.

We don't know exactly how long the journey will take or what the future space will look like.

We do know that we want to build it thoughtfully, and we want our community to be part of it.

Over the coming months, you'll see us sharing more of the story, gathering ideas, dreaming about possibilities, and beginning to raise funds.

We'll have a few fundraisers with proceeds helping us build toward our future home.

Starting GAM was a two year process before we even had a space. We dont know if it could be a one day campaign.
It's going to be another journey in exploration, and we are game!

Every donation and every person who believes in arts reuse helps move us a little closer to our goal.

We're as excited as you to see where the road takes us. .🐋🐚

Thank you to everyone who has been admiring the quilted coats with us and to all who have purchased. You truly own something special. We will have more beautiful coats from the same donation out soon. Right now, we still have a few fun fall vests.

This is a reminder as well. knowing we have the crowd to value such items. This special donation was all handmade, aligning with arts reuse. We couldn't pass it up.

We do not accept clothing on the regular. Please do not donate your closet to us. Any clothing that is donated to us generally goes to another thrift or restore. Taking time and space out of our schedule to do so.

We will have costume worthy clothes on the racks for next month as well. We may accept a costume or two if space allows.

Any costume will be pay-what-you-can.

What's in Store?
A fundraiser for Kauai ohana. Did you know this past Labor Day? Kauai was ravaged by a hurricane. Roads are broken, houses and buildings are gone or full of ocean, and power has been hard to come by.

We like to think Missoula has a very special relationship with Kauai & want to help aide in recovery.

There is a Polynesian presence at GAM. We put together all the Aloha we could find. If you are passionate about helping. Please shop this section in our store. All the proceeds made from the priced and pay what you can items will go to the Kauai Independant Food Bank.

Why a whale in Montana?

Have you noticed our logo mascot she is small but mighty.🐋

A gam is a gathering of whales, and we’ve created a GAM of creatives right here in Missoula!

We gather supplies, people & possibility.

Every year, thousands of pounds of art materials will stay out of the landfill because this community shows up.

We have something we've been thinking about for a while…
Giving Art to Missoula has grown. A lot.
Over the past two years, we've watched this little idea become something much bigger than we could have imagined. More artists. More workshops. More people walking through our doors. More creativity, connection, and community.
And now we're facing a really exciting problem:
We've run out of room.
Our current space has been such an important part of GAM's story, but we're beginning to dream about what could happen if we had a space that could grow with us.
Imagine a larger, more accessible home for Giving Art to Missoula…
More space for workshops and classes
Dedicated artist studios
A gallery to showcase local artists
Space for community gatherings
Room for fundraising events and special projects
♿ Better accessibility for the people we serve
And opportunities we haven't even thought of yet

We're looking for a bigger space because our mission has grown.
If you're new here because you're one of our wonderful new business followers, welcome. We're so glad you're here.
Over the next few months, we're going to share more about where GAM has been, what we've accomplished together, and where we hope to go next.

We're starting something big
A conversation about what Giving Art to Missoula could become.
If you've been part of GAM's story, we'd love for you to share this post. And if you're new to us, stick around.
The next chapter is just beginning. ❤️
