Our mission is education and understanding to enhance the equine-human bond & improve the welfare and well-being of all equines. The EQUUS INTERNATIONAL Film Festival® gallops back into Dillon Montana as part of the international equine education conference, September 8-10, 2022 - Theme: THE NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP REVOLUTION. Looking back, and forward it will be an amazing journey of the past, pres
ent and future with some of the most incredible horsemen and horsewomen in the world. A truly global event, this is a public conference and film festival meaning all are invited. The EIFF Call for Entries is now open on FilmFreeway, and judging will begin in 2022. All programming with an equine focus is welcome and invited and the production year is not relevant. EIFF, as one of the first all equine film festivals in the world, has become the premier venue for equine film and media focused on equine issues, stories and topics. Entries range from docs to features, training films to music videos. A special keynote, from one of the leaders in natural horsemanship, dynamic speakers, horse and horsemanship demonstrations, roundtables, panels, and equine exhibitors, celebrate the "best of" natural horsemanship and equine film in the heart of the American west, providing the most authentic horse-human experience. The EQUUS International Film Festival® provides a visual, cinematic forum for equine issues, topics and stories — giving a voice to all things equine. It brings together producers, filmmakers, equine experts, trainers, clinicians, researchers, scientists, students, equine enthusiasts, horse lovers, and others, around the equine world. But there is also a crisis in the equine world — a crisis in education, understanding, an increasing number of homeless equines, even abandonment — this is a reality of our times. The fate and future of horses and other equines is within our hands. The EQUUS International Film Festival® is a special project and an effort to help address this and the surrounding issues. EIFF’s mission is to promote awareness, knowledge and understanding of equines through excellence in film, television and other media. Our goal is education and understanding to enhance the equine/human bond & to improve the welfare of the horse through films, television and other media. Now that EIFF is an integral part of the annual Conference - Horse, Human and Nature and this year's theme, The Natural Horsemanship Revolution, we have an opportunity to reach thousands with hands on horse experiences and ground breaking knowledge and research. Special thanks and acknowledgement of the unique partnership between the Montana Center for Horsemanship, an independent not for profit organization, with the University of Montana Western and EQUUS International Film Festival. We welcome sponsors, contributors and collaborators to join us. Please visit our Sponsor Page to learn how to get involved and be part of this special event experience.
