Grant Creek Trail

Grant Creek Trail We have a trail! Construction began in 2014-15. There’s more to be done, but people are enjoying the 3 miles of paved - and plowed - trail every day.

We hope to extend trail connections both north and south. ‘Like' this page for trail updates.

On April 22 at 9am, the Department of Transportation will be unlocking the gate to allow access to the cleaned-up former encampment under the Reserve Street Bridge. This area could one day become a public access area or park, but for now it’s fenced off and gated.

Bring work gloves if you want to do an Earth Day service project, but the heavy lifting has already been done.

See you there!

Report of mountain lion in vicinity of Grant Creek Trail near Grant Creek Ranch/Charlotte Reed Marbut Reserve boundary Wednesday noon:

Just shy of the Charlotte Reed Marbut Reserve, a woman on a bike flagged me down and said she just saw a mountain lion in that area, that this is the second time she had seen it, and to be noisy and vigilant as I passed through.

45 minutes in to my walk, a neighbor in the Creekside neighborhood apologized for her dogs barking at me from the front yard. She shared they were on edge as about an hour before, they had heard an animal being attacked somewhere around the creek.

Hoping you can spread the word to be aware!
