Our flight crew is unavailable today, Saturday the 20th. We are monitoring the weather and working with them to determine when the next safe flight date and time will be and will be sending an update as soon as we find out. We have been very lucky in the past to be able to do the flyover on our projected date, however, it is always dependent on the weather and crew availability. Unfortunately, this year the weather has created some challenges. We thank you for your understanding and patience and we will update you as soon as we can.

POSTPONED! Due to safety concerns regarding weather conditions this evening, Santa’s Dash Through the Big Sky Flyover has been postponed. Santa is working with his flight crew to reschedule for the next safe flight date and time window. We will update the status as soon as possible. Though we plan for the flight to take place on schedule, the weather may not allow it. We apologize for the delay and are thankful for your understanding.

As of this evening, Santa’s Dash Through the Big Sky Flyover is still scheduled for tomorrow, Dec. 19th at 6:30pm (MST). Weather permitting of course. We would like to remind everyone that the usage of drones are prohibited and create a flight risk. The pilot can and will end the flight immediately if drones are encountered. As we get closer to the flight time, we will only be posting updates to our Santa tracker website at https://www.406santa.org/santa We hope everyone gets a chance to see it!

We have hit our fundraising goal, and the flyover is scheduled for December 19th and 6:30pm weather permitting! We would like to thank everyone that donated and helped to make the flyover happen! This event would not be possible without the help of the Missoula Downtown Foundation. They not only help bring Christmas cheer with the flyover, but they also put on the Holliday on Higgins which is happening this Saturday! We will be there and hope to see you all!

It’s 2025 and that time of year again! We have confirmed with our flight crew that they will be able to fly Santa! The flyover is made possible through generous donations from our community and sponsors. All funds received go towards the flight, storage, maintenance, and promotions. We have partnered with the Missoula Downtown Foundation to allow donations to be tax deductible. Donations can be made at https://www.406santa.org/donate.
