Helen Mulroney is an amazing woman who graciously serves on our board of directors. Helen has been with us for a few seasons, sharing her dedication and love of the Seeley Lake area. Helen spends much of her summer just up the shore from Camp Paxson, and the rest of the year in Bozeman, MT where she participates in a book club, a French conversation group, a retired teachers’ group, and also serves on the Intermountain Opera Board. Her greatest accomplishment is raising her two amazing daughters. We love having her energy, enthusiasm and shared love of Camp Paxson at our board meetings and events. Thank you, Helen, for your continued service to helping make sure that as many children as possible can enjoy Camp Paxson as much as you did as a child. If you would like to serve on the Camp Paxson board of directors, please email Libby Schneider at [email protected]

Shout out from the top of the larch trees to Andy Koenig, our fearless leader. Andy has been with Camp Paxson for a while now, helping us navigate the post Covid chapter of CPPP. He currently serves as our Board President willing to step up to whatever challenge comes our way. Andy spends his professional life as an attorney representing disability claimants in appeals court, but has poured his passion into raising three incredible children with his wife, another public servant, Gwen Jones. Now that his kids have moved on to their next phase of life, Andy spends much of his free time on the beach volleyball courts here in Missoula. Thank you, Andy, for your service to outdoor education. If you would like to consider serving as a board member email Libby at [email protected].

There is no one who has spent his life looking for ways to serve his community more that Don Collins. We are so lucky to have him as a Board member at Camp Paxson. Since CPPP incorporated, Don has served on the Board, helping establish the relationship with the Forest Service, shape Larch Outdoor Ed, the long term planning for the future of Camp Paxson and always taking charge in fundraising efforts. His enthusiasm and passion for CPPP’s success is palpable when you listen to him during casual conversations, board meetings or hosted events. Thank you, Don, for your support for all of these years, and hopefully many more! If you are interesting in serving on the Camp Paxson Preservation Project Board of Directors, email Libby at [email protected]

John Harrington joined us as a Camp Paxson board member a few years back, bringing a new level of excitement to the Board. He spent his childhood summers on the shores of Seeley Lake just up the road from Camp Paxson and is currently raising his two children with wife Ana with the same tradition. John is passionate about immersive outdoor education and hopes to inspire more children with the magic and beauty of Camp Paxson. We are so grateful for his leadership. If you are interested in serving as a board member for Camp Paxson Preservation Project, email Libby at [email protected]

Shout out to Camp Paxson’s Caretaker for not only ensuring that .paxson has smooth and awesome summer seasons but also supporting the outdoor ed part of the organization’s programming in myriad ways! She can be found all over campus- welcoming new arrivals, fencing baby larch to protect from beavers, connecting with students about a cool mushroom or a neat animal skull, helping keep students calm and safe in the case of an injury, cleaning/organizing/delivering, teaching, and generally filling every unforeseen crack to create a stable and supported base from which CP and Larch thrive! We’re so lucky to have you, Jen! 🌲
