We extend heartfelt gratitude to Sage & Oats Trading Post for their generous gift to the Snowbird Fund, which was received by MCF President & CEO, Mary Rutherford.

This meaningful contribution will directly support Native families in Montana as they lead community searches for their missing loved ones in both urban and reservation areas. Together, we are making an impact and standing in solidarity with these families.

Three hilarious (and incredibly thoughtful) comedians, Charlie Mulluk, Jojo Horsechief, and Dylan Thymes, are fundraising for the Snowbird Fund! A percentage of every ticket sold will benefit the Snowbird Fund, which directly supports the search for missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW).

The Robinsons - Major, Michelle, and Kyra, and Manager Haley McKnight, with Sage & Oats Trading Post provided a heartfelt donation to the Snowbird Fund. These funds will support providing rapid-response financial assistance to families or individuals leading the search for their missing loved ones.

"We at Sage & Oats love giving to the Montana Community Foundation's Snowbird Fund as it helps those Indigenous families that are going through such a difficult time in their life," noted Major Robinson. "We as indigenous people hope to never endure these traumas thrust upon us. We care for our own Indigenous community. "

This fundraiser was created to support and honor those that shared their stories in the Showtime series Murder in Big Horn - a powerful portrait of tribal members and their communities within Big Horn County, Montana battling an epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) that has been prevalent since colonization

Each of these families graciously invited the team from this production into their homes and opened up about the injustice their loved ones and families have experienced.

The producers have heard from the families that appeared in the series that monetary support could help them in the various ways they are seeking justice. 100% of the money raised from this fundraiser will go to all the families that appeared in the series.

Today, on Giving Tuesday, Major and Michelle Robinson owners of Sage & Oats Trading Post hand-delivered a gift to the Snowbird Fund.

Northern Cheyenne artists Major and his child Kyra, worked together on an art project to bring awareness to the Missing and Murdered Women and Peoples.

The MMIW line includes stickers, candles, and wax melts. Proceeds from the sale of these items benefit the Snowbird Fund.
