I hope you will all come to my special "Christmas In August " event that I'm holding on Sunday August 9th from 12-3pm inside Kelly Hall at my church St. Pius X Catholic Church - Mission, KS.

This fundraising event is being held to benefit the awesome charity Unbound that's working to help people from many parts of the world get out of poverty and New Globe Productions- charity the charitable program I started to help empower young people and provide assistance to incredible organizations like Unbound.

Roy (aka Santa Roy ) and Ona Poe will be appearing as Summer Santa and Summer Mrs. Claus. And they will be available for photo ops with people who make a suggested donation of $25 or more.

At the event, you can also purchase Christmas cards and other gift items that've been made from my photos. And you can enter the 50-50 Raffle, where half of the proceeds from the drawing will go to the winner and the other half of the proceeds will be donated to Unbound.

Tropical punch, cookies, and other refreshments will be provided.

So come on out and experience some summer Yuletide fun!

I'm happy to announce that we will now be helping support the incredible charity Unbound with the upcoming "Christmas In August " event that's being held on Sunday, August 9th from 12-3pm inside Kelly Hall at my church, St. Pius X Catholic Church - Mission, KS .

Unbound is a fantastic Kansas City, KS based charity whose mission is to support families and communities worldwide on their self-directed path out of poverty. And this charity's wonderful vision is to build a world free from poverty where all people have access to resources, community support, and the ability to make decisions that improve their lives and uphold human dignity.

People are invited to be a part of Unbound's inspiring efforts to build a world without poverty by sponsoring a child or an elder who live in many parts of the world. And for more than a year, I have been the proud sponsor of an amazing little lady, Zoe, who lives with her family in Morelos, Mexico.

I have found being Zoe's sponsor to be a very rewarding experience, and I'm glad that I am able to further support Unbound's important mission with this upcoming event. ❤️

I hope those of you who live in the metro area will mark your calendars for Sunday August 9 from 12-3pm, when I will be holding my next charity event- "Christmas In August ".

At this Summer fundraiser that will be filled with echoes of the Yuletide, I'll be selling some of my photos, photo related products, and my book of poetry and songs that I’ve written "I Walk Alone".

Additionally, I'll be debuting my Christmas collection, which will feature holiday cards and Christmas ornaments that've been made from some of my photos, as well as various Christmas related photos and prints that I'm printing up for the occasion.

Half of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau , an incredible charity I support that provides presents and other needed items to people in need living in Johnson County, Kansas.

And the other half of the proceeds will be used to help develop the charitable production company that I've started to "help produce goodness in the world " and help empower young people, New Globe Productions- charity.

More info about this exciting event will be provided soon. In the meantime, if you’d like more info on my 501(c)(3) charity, please visit NewGlobeCharity.org!

Mahalo (thanks), everybody! I hope to see you all on August 9th. In the meantime, hang loose!

I'm happy to report that thanks to the generous people who came to my charity event yesterday at my church St. Pius X Catholic in Mission, KS and purchased some of my photos, photo related products, books, and raffle tickets, as well as to those who made generous donations in person and online, we were able to raise more than $1300.

Half of those proceeds will be donated to help people from my church feed people in need at St Mary's Food Kitchen in KCK, which they do each month.

The other half of the proceeds will be used to help me develop the charitable production company New Globe Productions- charity that I've started to "help produce goodness in the world " and help empower young people.

Many thanks go out to the generous folks who awesomely donated some great prizes for my raffles at the event- RJ's Bob-Be-Que Shack, The Folly Theater, and Culver's .

And zillions of thanks also go out to the fantastic members of my cosplay family who wonderfully came out to lend their heroic support to my charity event.

Among those present yesterday were Heather Evey Anderson , Captain Cosplay , , Tim Rowe , Tiffany Messer from the Midland Empire Ghostbusters , and several superb members of the most excellent Just-Us League- including Fancy Jen Cosplay.

Also showing their generous support for yesterday's event were Kenneth Keltner Jr. (a super awesome dude who is one of the pillars of the KC cosplay community) and Megan Hitchcock Smith (a wonderful lady I went to high school with who's a super talented photographer and filmmaker) .

Here's the "class photo" that I took after my awesome cosplay friends treated those present to a "Parade of Cosplayers ". Many more photos to follow.

Thanks again, everybody, for helping make yesterday's event successful. You all are truly awesome!❤️
