About the Dentons
Randy and Donna Denton have been serving as full-time missionaries to Mexico since 1988. Prior to that time they served as youth pastors, teachers, worship leaders/musicians and in other leadership positions in churches in Arkansas and Louisiana. Upon embarking upon their missions call they took on the ministry name of Spirit and Truth Ministries, or STM, for short. In 1989, aft
er completing Spanish language and Missionary training school, the Dentons moved to Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico where they were involved in church establishing, film evangelism and the production of instructional praise and worship tapes in Spanish. Two years later they relocated to the northern border of the country to work among the displaced Mexicans who were migrating there as a result of the deteriorating economic situation. In 1994, the plunge of the peso drove thousands more Mexicans out of their homelands to border towns in search of a better way of life. Over the years, the Dentons have been instrumental in bringing tons of relief supplies to multitudes of impoverished Mexicans who call shack towns their home. Church Establishing/Construction Programs
The Dentons raise up pastors, establish and build churches, parsonages, feeding centers and other needed facilities. Pastors and their families have been blessed to be able to move from humble dwellings to nice homes built by the Dentons' construction teams. The Dentons also provide financial support for pastors and literature for churches. Upon relocation to the northern border of Mexico in 1991, the Denton's ministry grew rapidly to the point that they established an STM association in Mexico that is staffed by dedicated nationals. Feeding Hungry Children Program
Accounts of destitute families existing on nearly nothing touched Donna’s heart. As a result, she started a program to feed hungry children. Under her direction, meals are prepared at the churches/feeding centers to feed children who are the poorest of the poor. Children can come to the feeding centers and receive hot nutritious meals. This program has touched hundreds of families and thousands of children both naturally and spiritually. This ministry also operates a Meals-on-Wheels program in which hot meals are transported into outlying areas that are too far from the feeding centers for children to walk. Christmas Toy Distribution/Mercy Ministries
Each Christmas STM gives out hundreds of shoeboxes filled with toys and candy. For many children these are the only toys they will receive all year. It’s a rewarding experience to see a child’s eyes light up at the joy of receiving toys chosen especially for them. The parents are delighted at the items they receive and are deeply grateful that someone provides gifts that they cannot afford to give to their own children at this special time of year. Thousands of children have been blessed by this mercy ministry. Entire families are won to Christ when they experience the love of Jesus this ministry shows to them. Internet Ministry
STM also conducts an online ministry in which people from all over the world can receive the plan of salvation and discipleship with the click of a mouse. Banners with messages such as "Got God?" or "Know Jesus?" are posted on secular websites. Many of these websites serve ureached parts of the world and the 10/40 window. When a visitor clicks on the banner they are taken to a site where they can pray to receive Christ. STM then does one-on-one follow-up with these new converts by counseling and praying with them, discipling them through online Bible courses and getting them connected to a local body of believers. STM has ministered to people in over 90 countries through this online ministry. Mission Statement:
