Why DKG?
For DKG member Debbie LeBlanc, the answer is about so much more than belonging to an organization. It’s about community, leadership, advocacy, and using her voice to make a difference.
“For me, DKG has never been simply an organization I belong to. It is a community of women educators who believe that what we do matters—and that together, we can make a difference.
DKG has given me opportunities to grow, lead, use my voice, learn from women around the world, and turn what I care deeply about into action. Most importantly, it has given me people—women who have challenged me, encouraged me, and inspired me to keep saying YES to what is possible.
My WHY is developing leaders, advocating for children and families, and strengthening the profession I love. DKG gives me a place to do all three.
After decades in education and years of DKG leadership, I have learned that DKG is at its best when we choose to be more than members. We choose to lead. We choose to advocate. We choose to mentor. And we choose to make a difference.
That is my WHY for DKG.” – Debbie LeBlanc
Thank you, Debbie, for sharing what DKG means to you!
