Friarbots Team 3309 FIRST Robotics is the Varsity Sport for the mind! Team 3309 is comprised of members from Servite, Connelly, and Rosary High Schools. www.Team3309.org

The Friarbots were established in 2009 to enter a team in the FIRST Robotics Competition to help expand Servite High School’s math and science programs. We believe that participating in FIRST provides a unique challenge to the students at Servite High School, Cornelia Connelly High School, and Rosary High School, and enables them to show their talent at a national and international level. Furtherm

ore, we believe that participating in FIRST teaches students how to work in a team environment and collaborate between the various committees that make up the team. By competing in the FIRST Robotics competition, we hope to give students the opportunity to garner experience in the fields of business, engineering and programming to assist them with future careers.

Congratulations to 3309 Friarbots Graduate - Aidan Long 🙌🎓💛

Aidan contributed as a lead and member specializing in team operations, robot build, drive team, and was a leader in facilitating the summer robotics camp.

His greatest 3309 memory was making it into the 5th round at the Arizona North regional this year. His advice to current and new members, “Get involved in something you are passionate about as soon as possible. The earlier you start, the greater the impact you can make on the team.”

Aidan will be attending the University of Michigan majoring in Mechanical Engineering!

Congratulations to 3309 Friarbots Graduate - Elijah Bicaldo 🙌🎓💛

Elijah contributed as a lead in CAD, drive team, VEX, and so much more. His greatest moment was when they announced the Innovation Award at Idaho. When the announcers were alluding to which team won it everyone started looking at each other and got excited! Elijah’s advice to current and new members, “Most of the fun comes from bouncing ideas off each other and working together, so don’t be afraid to share whatever you’re thinking. You’ll be contributing and having a lot more fun than staying silent.”

Elijah will be pursing Cybersecurity, Game Development, or AI at the University of San Diego majoring in Computer Science!
