YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN!
This Friday, my good friend John, from Better Lives Rhode Island joined us Libertarian Mutual Aid in a Distro aimed at assisting our unhoused Brothers and Sisters. Extreme weather has destroyed what little these folks can claim as their own.
We delivered donated army blankets (Thank you Post 85 Woonsocket American Legion!) Space Blankets (Thank you !) Dental supplies! TY Rhode Island Dental Association) Bombas Socks ... Food .. Clothing. Thank you Jeanne Michon and New Beginnings Inc And of course, Thank you! To those who have been so generous. Without all of your support, none of this happens.

Why so few photos? It would greatly simplify fundraising if we demonstrated the terrible conditions our fellow Rhode Islanders lived in, as well as serving to document our efforts, right?

Its actually quite simple: I Pat Ford, The Coalition - Talk Radio and Libertarian Mutual Aid will not A. Document individuals homeless status by photo so as not to provide a life long record of this difficult period of their lives. A record that can serve to haunt them during job and housing searches ...in addition to their personal relationships. B. Provide, via photo, clues to their whereabouts or the physical location of their encampment. Encampments have been robbed, and residents assaulted because of "well meaning" members of the public. Folks, if you see something? Say Nothing.

News Organizations, in their zeal to "report the news", would do well to heed this advice.

A Big Thank You! To Post 85 American Legion in for Their Generous Contributions of Army Blankets to Libertarian Mutual Aid! Also supporting Boobification Healing with Ink ... New Beginnings Inc ... Gateway to Independence ...

We will be distributing them at a Distro, along with socks, dental supplies and of course, water this week!

Another example of the community support provided by The American Legion. When you see Legion members, thank them for their service to the Nation, as well as locally, their service to the Community.

For Followers of Libertarian Mutual Aid, I run a local political media outlet called The Coalition - Talk Radio. In an effort to inform, and educate, I will be sharing our political coverage of events related to - Pat Ford

Rhode Island House Speaker Joseph Shekarchi, in what has become an annual event, unveiled his Legislative Housing Agenda this week. At The Coalition - Talk Radio (Unlike our Legacy Media counterparts) we present to you the entire speech, with emphasis on potential amendments to The Housing Bill of Rights. We will be following these developments closely, as the process continues.

Hello! It's been a while ...

After 3 years, the work of Libertarian Mutual Aid continues. We are out 2-3 days a week .. delivering water and ferrying supplies around Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. We've broadened our base: We support homeless encampments, meal kitchens, and food pantries.

We are still all volunteer. We do not accept government money.

The Experts tell me I have to post more often ... which is a challenge, because we respect the privacy of folks down on their luck, particularly when they are unhoused. We will not engage in "homeless p**n" .. Sorry, rough wording ... but appropriate for those who engage in hating ... and those who engage in exploiting (Yup, that's you Crossroads Rhode Island -$24M Budget $400K CEO Salary .. Warming center friends sleeping on the floor). The eternal question? How do you engage in promotion without engaging in exploitation?

Answer? LMA will be active politically this legislative season via The Coalition - Talk Radio One of the reasons we are NOT a 501c3. Folks who know me that i truly have NFLTG. The environment we have volunteered in the last 3 years has fostered that. The pain. It's everywhere.

So I am issuing the type of request we have been doing for the last few months or so on our other pages. We need your help. Incredibly, folks need water support more than ever. We all know how difficult this winter has been horrific ... imagine apartment surfing ... living in a car ... or incredibly, trying to survive outside in any of the dozens of encampments that dot Rhode Island.

Libertarian Mutual Aid provides water in bulk, often by the pallet, to meal kitchens, food pantries and encampments around Rhode Island. We accept no government money. We pay no salaries. We are 100% volunteer. 3 years. Year 'round. The extremes of Rhode Island Summers ... and Winters.

Largely self-funded, we humbly ask for your support. 100% of your donation will go to fund our cargo van, and the miscellaneous costs of well, existing. It costs about $2,000 a month to open the van doors. I can't imagine what it would cost the State of Rhode Island.
Our donor base is diverse. Business folk, elected officials (Names you know, who are incredibly generous) and regular people.

A Call To Action!
Catastrophic floods have ravaged much of Southern West Virginia. The Libertarian Party of West Virginia and Libertarian Mutual Aid are asking Affiliates/Members/Friends to respond to a humanitarian crisis, in support of Flood Relief, by ordering/drop-shipping critical household supplies and/or donating cash.

As Libertarians, we can engage in the type of humanitarian support that personifies the replacement of government intervention with personal mutual aid. 100% of funds received by Libertarian Mutual Aid will be directed to the Libertarian Party of West Virginia for dissemination by local Libertarian volunteers. Additionally, Libertarian Mutual Aid will provide, from LMA, a dollar for dollar match up to $1000.
