If you ~ or a guest ~ are planning to visit South Bend BNI on Thursday, 1/18, we're holding our meeting ONLINE instead of in person. Too many of our members have to travel rural roads and the weather predictions for pre-dawn tomorrow make in-person the less-best choice.

I am so thankful for the leadership and training I receive from Christine and from her team at Trustee Training Services. I first met Christine many years ago through a professional group of business owners and managers. I knew then she was a class act. I have had and trained multiple dogs over the years. When it came time to add a new puppy to our family, I decided to give Christine a call. My first thought was to just ask her for a recommendation on a dog training book to refresh my memory since it’s been over 15 years since we’ve had a puppy. Christine responded to my request that there were no complete books out there. Many of our family and friends would always say our pets were the best trained dogs they have been around. So I kind of thought I didn’t need professional help. Eventually we decided to request 6 weeks of training to get us started down the right path with Tucker (our new puppy). I did not want to repeat some mistakes of past training as well as give Tucker the best environment to be a great dog and family companion. We finished the last session of our first six weeks yesterday and have secured more training from Christine for the future. We are so thankful for Christine‘s keen eye and caring heart. Her love for people and their pets is evident throughout the process. Her techniques and her patience have helped my wife and I be more confident as we purposefully train Tucker. I would urge anyone with a new puppy, or even a pet that’s been around for a while, to seek the support that Christine can give. Do yourself and your dog a favor by allowing Christine to help you and your pet grow in respect and enjoyment of each other. We can already tell that Trustee Training is the best investment we’ve ever made for our pets.—Matt Steenbeke

Our small business had been searching unsuccessfully for well over a month to find a competent electrician for an install job. We will henceforth define this journey with two distinct timeframes:

BSB (Before SwitchBack) and ASB (After SwitchBack)

BSB:
- electricians not showing up to the agreed upon time, rescheduling, then arriving hours late to the rescheduled appointment
- not showing up at all (multiple individuals)
- requesting cash before they were willing to give us a 'free estimate'
- not being fully truthful about credentials/qualifications
- installing the wrong type of outlet in the wrong place
- showing up to do the work, claiming they brought the wrong supplies, and then never hearing from them again
- making inappropriate comments to our staff and employees

ASB:
- actually arrived at the agreed upon meeting time (EARLY even!)
- was accommodating to the urgent nature of our issue
- personable, kind and attentive
- spent a long time carefully examining the task in order to give a proper, accurate, (and free!) estimate
- spent a long time explaining the situation to our staff so that there was a clear understanding of the scope of the project and answering many questions
- actually showed up again (!!) on the agreed upon day to do the work
- performed the work in a busy, tight space all while creating the least amount of interruption possible for our business
- did an extra task that was requested but wasn't a part of the original ask
- job was done, mess was cleaned up, and they were out of the way within the original timeframe that had been estimated

We are so thrilled with the work and happy to now have Jake and his business at the very top of our list of "PLACES TO CALL WHEN WE NEED HELP"! It was a pleasure to work with them and I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend SwitchBack to others. Professional, friendly, and clearly very competent. Thank you so much Jake for going above and beyond for us (and thank you to Lin for the excellent referral)! We are so pleased!
